Loving Seinfeld

Watching the behind the scenes stuff, which is all over Youtube, and there are some terrific anecdotes. My two favourites so far are that after watching the episode when George starts doing the opposite of all his instincts, people he knows in person started doing likewise and had quite a bit of success doing so. The other was that Jerry went to the Soup Nazi after the episode aired and the guy went mental at him in the middle of his restaurant, demanding an apology and calling him "a fucking asshole".

Laughed so much at this segment that I saw my life flash before my very eyes. I have been absolutely devouring seasons of this recently, I really can't get enough of its quality. I have a pretty good memory but I can't keep pace with the number of brilliantly incisive and witty observations which are made in an episode, because there is so much else going. World class stuff.

You just can't understand why the BBC aired it in midnight slots, it was comedy gold and puts to shame their own output. No wonder it was one of the highest rated shows in US TV history.

I've been suffering from man-flu for the past four days and sleeping on and off. What has made it all not so bad is finding the 24hr Seinfeld channel on my jailbroken apple TV. Be it 2am or 11am I've almost seen every single episode.

(I have the dvd set but nothing beats the 24hr Seinfeld channel)

A website that may be of interest to Seinfeld fans:

It’s Bubbly Time, Jerry - Michael Richards - Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee

Videos are only between ten and twenty minutes long, but they're worth a watch if you've got a few minutes to spare. Basic premise is Jerry Seinfeld driving around in different cars, picking up comedians and chatting shit with them over a cup of coffee.

The one with Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner is a great watch.

Thinking of giving this a watch after I'm done with Curb. The laugh track has always put me off, but after watching Curb and a few mates telling me they've gone back and watched this and loved it, I'm thinking of giving it a shot.
While I am a big fan of Curb, Seinfeld shits all over it in my opinion...

"All plans between men are tentative.

If one man should suddenly have an opportunity to pursue a woman, it's like these two guys never met each other ever in life.

This is the male code.

And it doesn't matter how important the arrangements are, I mean, most of the time when they scrub a space shuttle mission it's because one of the astronauts met someone on his way to the launch pad. They hold that countdown. He's leaning against the rocket talking to her, "So listen, when I get back what do you say we get together for some Tang?"
