Sacrilege, nothing from Pizza hut can be considered truly great Pizza.

 

Calzone is Italian for Trouser or shorts. The Margherita was invented for Queen Margherita of Italy, with the red of the tomato, the white of the Buffalo Mozzarella and the green of the Oregano representing the Italian flag.

 

I have a great Pizza knowledge, it'd probably be my specialist subject in Mastermind.

Not usually a fan of ASK but on tues went to one in L'pool and had a pepperoni, mushrooms, gorgonzola and rosemary with extra chillis and oodles of chilli oil. Nice.

I find Ask are very hit and miss, but one of the finest Pizza's I ever ate was at Ask in Bristol eating the aforementioned Pesto and Mushroom. Dang. They also did honeycomb cheesecake, which was quite frankly, genius. Pizza Express are also excellent for the price, I always choose a Veneziana- 25p from each Pizza goes to saving Venice from flooding

Bella Italia used to do an "Anatra", which was basically duck and plum sauce (possibly with a dash of hoi sin), with spring onion on a pizza.

 

This was the king of fast food snacks, although appears to have been removed from the menu.

Casa Italia does a great pizza.

 

More pizza tips: the perfect sauce is tinned, chopped tomatoes with a touch of salt, some oilve oil and a splash of Tommy K to take away the acidity in the toms. Reduce most of the liquid off and add fresh basil at the end.

That's essentially the perfect pizza right there. If you couple that with a stuffed crust with garlic and herb cheese, you've got the greatest pizza ever there.

I think you can get away with anchovies, but anyone having pineapple on their pizza is a botter or a girl.
