When it comes to bedding, linen is the only way forward. Costs a little more, but when you get into bed you can tell where the extra money went.

I bought some top class cotton and linen bedding a few months back and still haven’t lost the satisfaction every night of getting in to bed, whichever is on rotation. Best bet with the linen stuff is how it gets even softer after every wash.

I’ve been off work all week and have decided to go to Frodsham on my own for a few pints today with the weather being nice. First time I’ve been to a pub since February and it’s just great sitting off in a few beer gardens reading my match programme from the Chelsea match. Gonna get a chippy tea soon and then head home and sit in the garden whilst supping a few cans.

My missus has gone pub with work friends im in the garden with a pint and my earphones in, just poured a pint and as I'm walking into the garden California Love came on, me being in a world of my own with loud earphones in plus being a dickhead  i just shouted "muthaaa fuckaaaaaa". My kitchen leads to decking its the only part my neighbours can see me and the two old women next door were looking at me like I let a fire cracker off.

Going up to the allotment in an hour; loads of booze, big fire, some home cooked scran, a load of tunes on the Spotify Bluetooth speaker.

I prefer cotton mate although i do realise linen is what a lot of people prefer. If you pay for good cotton it's every bit as good.

Personal thing I guess, I've never found a cotton I've like as much as the linen, but I don't know what the highest thread count I've tried is.

I love that about the linen. Clean sheet day is quite an occasion at Casa Dryness.

We have Linen sheets as well mate, they do tend to last longer and age better than cotton. Just plumped for new cotton ones as like the stinge bag I am they were on offer and tbf are top quality for cotton. As you also say, clean sheet day is a thing of beauty.

I went over to the headland / seaside yesterday with our kid, my nephew and my ma in her wheelchair.

We sat on a bench just near to a rock pool and an outdoor swimming pool where some kids were playing.

The sun came out and was lovely and warm, within seconds I could smell the warm sand and the salty sea and seaweed.

The tide was coming in and the the waves were crashing over the pier to my left, occasionally soaking the kids playing there and the fishermen.

Cormorants, seagulls and sea birds galore; sail boats, jet skis and other assorted sea faring vessels going back and forth.

Sat there for just over an hour chatting and chilling, absolutely fucking marvellous day.

There's something about being close to water, the sea in particular. I love it.

I had a mate years ago who was a bit into his new age health ideas, and he'd read somewhere that being near the sea was good for you because it gave off positive ions which would attract your negative ions out of you and make you feel better. Probably bollocks, but still.

I just think that fresh air, sunshine, a bit of nature and peaceful relaxation can go far and do much.

A good walk and a good, long think, would do the world wonders.

Thats exactly my mrs's attitude. All these people with aggression and world leaders looking to cause problems would be well served by going for good long walk in the countryside appreciating nature. Perhaps a spot of birdwatching. Daft cow.
