Myself, like my good friend CharleyKnight, live on the wonderful Woodchurch estate. I believe in the 80's it was the crack capital of the wirral. Its a lot better now like, although there are still the tracksuit-worshipping little shits who stalk the place like a disease.

Tbh, its actually quite okay round here. Very little trouble, although all cctv cameras are in steel cages.....

How many of that 90% are committed by you?

I am a law abiding citizen, although one night i did drive the skidoo on tequila. -35C is quite sobering.

I guard when they (Inuit) misbehave. Kind of surreal sometimes as I also work as a teacher and have guarded one night and taught the detainee a couple of days later.

I live just outside Altrincham and it's pretty much the perfect place to live. There are plenty of bars and pubs in the town as it is purely a town for living and socialising and everyone comutes to somewhere else to work. I have parkland with deer wandering around ten minutes one way, the trafford centre ten minutes away another way, Manchester town centre a twenty minute Metrolink ride away and pretty much everything you'd want pretty close. It's also handy being five minutes from the M6 and the M60 with the work I do.

The missus has lived here all her life and is bored of it but I can't see me wanting to move anythime soon.

I currently reside in Speke. MOved up here to be nearer work. From Bootle/Netherton originally.

Lived in the following areas.

Dodge Estate - Shithole,

K

ensington - Shithole on a wider scale

Croxteth Park Estate - Was nice when me Dad frst moved in around '89, now still looks nice, but all the drug dealers who done well for themselves are living on there and are bringing it right down.

Bacup - As Our Kid calls it, 'The Armpit Of The North', Me mam still lives there with me Step Dad and Our Kid. Brother hates the place as full of Wooly BAck Chavs who think the wrodl owns them something. Plenty of nice people who we know upp there, but I made a promise to me Mam when we first went up there, I'll give i till I leave school then I am coming back. I did as I promised.

As I said now in Speke and it is horrible, luckily I know a lot decent people in Speke, through me birds family. But there are some horrible bastards around here. All driving round in their 'Lid carriers'. It winds me up that these cunts do fuck all for a living and glorify the gobshites that 'run' the estate. think too many of them have took notice from Scarface and the Curtis Warren tale. If I have any kids in the future I certainly don't want them growing up around here. This goes without mentioning the fact I have had my cars screwed over 6 times in the past 3 years. Once again the other day. You can't have fuck all without some 'orrible little scally shit wanting to spoil for ya. If murder was legal, fucking hell I would have wiped all the little cunts out.

The problem is with council estates, the majority of the people on there want to do well for themselves, its just that clueless, ignorant and obnoxious twats who have no goal in life want to drag you down with them. It is instilled into them by their parents and them their parents, so and so forth. Give people everything for nothing and you are asking for trouble. And trouble is what we got.

I know a load of lads out of bacup and rawtenstall. I quite like it up that way, quite open once you get into the sticks and the people we know up there are sound. I guess its like most places its the people who make it what it is.

Some crackin local beers up that way

True. I think the Government stipulate that 20% of all new developments have to be social housing - the theory is its supposed to create 'balanced communities'.

There's nothing balanced in working hard, wanting to buy a nice house and live in a nice area where there is no trouble. I'm really annoyed by this type of thing. Why should people work hard if the government give free stuff to layabouts?

It's not all free. Shared ownership housing is for "Key Wokers", i.e nurses, police, teachers and so on. They have to buy into it and a registered social landlord will own the other share. The owner has the option of buying further shares until they own the property outright, so that it becomes privately owned.

It is supposed to help key workers onto the property ladder which I don't think is a bad thing.

I'm only talking about this scheme in isolation, I don't really know about others and social housing policies in general.

Er, little bit of a generalisation there dude. The idea is to avoid ghettos/ sink estates where loads of people on low incomes are thrown together. As I said, thats the idea.

Lots of people work hard and never have two beans to rub together. I live in a very posh/ high income area - I doubt many of those cunts work that hard.

Sorry, I could feel the anger rising. It just seems that most honest hard working people just get on with it, where as those who don't try to find wor get a load of benefits that some(not all)don't deserve.

I knew after I posted that 'free' comment that I'd over-exaggerated.

My point was that I agree in principal with trying to avoid creating bad housing estates. I disagree with enforcing most developers to give a percentage of land in most cases. I can't win really.

If that was the reason then I'd say fair enough but I suspect that some go to the HA too.

I live in Bootle by the Mons and I fuckin hate it, scum, scum and more scum. Used to be a lovely street when I moved in about 13 years ago but it's had a steep decline with no mark kids kicking wing mirrors off cars, to scum bag neighbours blasting music and gangs everywhere....

Horrible place with moslty horrible people...would rather live in Beruit.

WOO HOO! I'm currently in downtown Beruit and have had my name down with Sefton Council for an exchange for a gaff near the Mons for ages now. Expect a call soon Jay.

Its alright here, nice and quiet and you can leave your door open and everything when you go out - unless its been blown off its hinges in which case you just leave it open all the time like.

*phones Beruit Council to sort out date
