Never seen Dead Man’s Shoes. I remember renting TwentyFourSeven from the video shop when it first came out and thinking it was boss.

Great film. Best role Bob Hoskins ever played. Even better than Harold In the long good Friday. Heartbreaking

Funny as fuck that scene.

The more I think about it,  I am concluding that it's the best British movie ever.

I concluded that ages ago.

Channel 4 can fuck off though. They butcher everything with adverts. Their app is the fucking same. Can't watch a 30 min show without a shitload of them.

Yeah. There's a thing called Walter Presents where they have a good selection of non English telly series and films but you can't watch it because it has more adverts than the telly channel does.Annoying as fuck and no wonder people use torrents and stream stuff.

It’s almost like they’re a massively underfunded public service broadcaster trying to find any way they can to get distinctive programming on telly. Is it so hard to press Fast Forward on the remote?

I do usually stream using apk's but there was 2 episodes that didn't appear at all on them.

I deleted the app after I watched what I needed to and refuse to watch anything else on C4. I don't mind ads, but they are taking the fucking piss with them.

You arent allowed to fast forward as its simply advert after advert. If they showed say 5 minutes of adverts before you could watch the whole episode then thats fine, but having 10 minutes of programme followed by three minutes of advertisements repeater through 45 minutes to an hour is simply impossible to watch.

It's a good movie.  The only real criticism I have is that the musical interludes were too long and there were too many of them.  They dragged me out of the story a bit and detracted from the gritty realism of what was unfolding.  It's a minor quibble, though.
