I can confirm (from Golazo on ch5 last nite) that Aguero said so himself that he'd like to play in England either for Liverpool or Chelski.

If Chelski ever were to sniff around him, I suggest he has a mano a mano with SWP.

Good player nevertheless, and only 17. But then again there are quite a few of his quality in South America.

Yeah like dave U said I watch a lot of the South American footie on 5 and Bravo that tends to be on in the wee hours (why I don't know) but any way he does seem to have a lot of hype around him in south america and he does look shit hot. Couple of problems though, 1. Age and value, hes not worth that much just yet. 2. Passport as dave said again hes no good if he cant get a visa and the final and I think most important, if all went well and we did sign him, could a 17 year old wonder kid cope with the hard tackling nature of the prem? Expect to see him in a United shirt in a couple of years.

Bayern consider risky move for Argentine teen Aguero

FRANKFURT, March 28 (Reuters) - Bayern Munich are considering a risky move for Argentine teenager Sergio Aguero now, before his performances push him out of the German club's price range.

Bayern's director of football Uli Hoeness was in Argentina at the weekend to watch Aguero and club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has dropped a big hint that a bid for the 17-year-old Independiente player is imminent.

"We must move before the Spanish and Italian clubs join the race, otherwise he will be more expensive," Rummenigge told Bild newspaper.

German newspapers have speculated that Bayern could pay up to 15 million euros ($18.04 million) for Aguero, who was part of the Argentina squad that won the World Youth Championship last year.

"He certainly won't be a bargain but with a young player of such quality you have to be prepared to take a risk," Rummenigge said.

Bayern are likely to lose Germany captain Michael Ballack at the end of the season when he is out of contract and an attacking midfielder of Aguero's promise could be a direct replacement.

He has been tipped to make the same sort of impact in Europe as Lionel Messi of Barcelona, who was the outstanding player of the World Youth Championship.

Messi is now a certainty for the country's World Cup squad for Germany this year and many people in Argentina would like to see Aguero included as well.

I can't imagine Bayerns financial situation being much better than ours. It's probably worse. It would be a massive risk forthem to sign him for around the figure qouted, but if he's success then it'll seem like pittance.
