As per Amli's post earlier, South African 400m runner Wayde Van Niekerk probably put in the performance of the Olympic games so far.

BBC Sport reports that he spent the afternoon supporting the Reds v Arsenal and teasing his brother who is a Gooner, and then smashing Michael Johnson's world record in the evening, not a bad day's work.

Seems a bit of a character with a 74 year old great-grandmother as his coach.

Get him on the pitch at half time of the first home game, banging in pennos past Mighty Red.

Wonder if him or his Grandma can play LB?

“As a Liverpool fan I’m an eternal optimist because of what we did in Istanbul in 2005.”

I noticed watching the olympics that there are lots of attractive heptathletes, for some reason. She is defo one of them.
