The only thing wrong with this thread is that its only 66 pages long.

Just a bit shorter than his weekly shopping list.

10p a day to become a 'VIP Member' at Koptalk. Even dearer than this place.

Aye. Still at least Dave doesn't charge people for stolen news articles, illegal match highlight videos that are available elsewhere on the net for free anyway and bullshit competitions to win authentic signed LFC merchandise. That's authentic merchandise that's been signed of course, not merchandise with authentic signatures - critical difference.

I think 'dear' is a very relative concept anyway - here it works out less than 50p per week for a years membership and even at double that, I'd consider it good value considering how much entertainment the place has given me over the last five years. Here or on Koptalk though, that's a judgment for the individual to make - the real difference is that on here you can make that judgment based on facts, rather than on the outpouring of tripe that emanates from Dunc and his increasingly rich fantasy life.

Anyone who signs up for a season ticket here knows exactly what they're getting. I don't see any complaints and unlike Koptalk, that's not because the site owner has deleted them all, banned the posters making them and yet still kept their subs on auto-renew. It's because there aren't any, or if there are then they're dealt with promptly and resolved to both parties satisfaction.

His Bullshit begins

I have been asked to keep a thread going about my mum’s status. Because things

have dragged on and because of a new setback today (21st July), I thought it was

unfair to burden you further with my situation so I closed the other thread and

asked for it to be moved. It has since returned following your

requests.

that it has been renamed):

UBB Message - KopTalk Members

I

did remove the thread but I was asked to put it back.

I have

deliberately not gone into detail about what I’ve seen, been told and what’s

happening because it’s not nice. It’s horrific and mental torture. I will be

destroyed if I lose her.

OFFERS OF

HELP

I’m currently holed up in a hotel which is very close to the

hospital. This means that I can be at ICU (Intensive Care Unit) within 5

minutes. It’s costing £58-a-night just for the room and I think I’ve been here

around 11 days now. I have not asked for any

help but some members have offered to help (see thread below) to keep me

close to mum. If she ever makes it back to a ward then I can stay with family an

hour away, although I’d prefer to stay here but long term I wouldn’t be able to

manage that.

See this thread –>>

I can’t stay here indefinitely,

I don’t know many people who could sustain that. It would be very easy to take

donations that have been offered but I wouldn’t like to do that but I have

compromised and said that if anyone wants to extend their sub earlier than their

renewal then I will accept that. That way I feel like I’m giving something back

too.

You can extend your sub using this link –>>

See here for the membership

offers we have, so you can enter the right amount above –>>

Simply enter the amount and once completed,

please email charlie@koptalk.com that you have extended your sub. She will need

the email address you used and your username.

By using that link, you

will not be auto-billed. It is classed as a one-off ‘donation’ but it is NOT a donation. Your membership will be

extended by 1, 2 or 5 years as you choose. Obviously some people elsewhere will

try and use this against me but there is no donation, just an extension to an

existing sub. I am also only responding to suggestions. As I said, I never asked

for help.

You do not have to renew earlier than expected and I’m not

asking you to help. I’m offering those who want to help a chance to help and at

the same time, I am giving them something back. Under no circumstances will I

accept handouts.

I will also try and do something else for those who do

extend early once this blows over as I have instructed Charlie to keep a note of

who’s who for me.

People are suggesting this and that but the best way to

help, only if you want to, is to stick with the site as a member. That way you

are helping me and I can repay you by extending your time here and by trying to

provide you with a good, safe and sensible environment to follow LFC. Yes the

site is not on form just now but you know that when this passes that my priority

will be getting back to work for you.

YNWA

I’ve run KopTalk for 13 years now

and the last few weeks have shown me what YNWA really means. I really am not

walking alone. I can’t explain what that means to me, especially after some hard

years with the rivals and haters from other LFC sites. I was really starting to

regret supporting Liverpool as I couldn’t believe that some of our ‘fans’ could

be so cruel with the things they have tried to do to me, my family and friends.

Over the last few weeks they have been blown away by the thousands of messages I

have received from all over the world. I have received incredinle

support.

People throw YNWA all over the place but unless you’ve ever had

your fellow fans walking with you, you will never understand how it feels. It is

amazing.

I will put my hands up and admit that I’m destroyed, I’m at my

lowest and I don’t see a way out. Despite my pain and that of my family, I’m

still trying to put the shifts in for you.

Many members can verify that I

have been there for them when they have needed help and I don’t just mean about

extending or waiving their subs. If someone needs help I will always try to help

someone. Why? Because my mum brought me up to be good to people that are good to

me. Sadly I’m the one needing the arm around me just now.

I have no idea

how long I will be here for. Hopefully a long time because that means mum is

still alive. Today was a bad day and I would do anything to end this situation

and make my mum well again.

I don’t know if you know this but we have a

member who is a cardiologist in the States. He has been emailing me every day

answering my questions and offering support for months. He was the first person

I turned to today and there he was helping me, answering my concerns. He makes

me proud to be Red.

I tried to move the threads about this subject today

and I locked them too but I was quickly pulled up by you guys who insisted that

they remain. I’ve tried to move the discussion away but I got slapped down for

it. I understand that, I just didn’t want to burden you with this

problem.

Those of you who are religious, I ask you to continue doing your

thing. I have been touched by people from ALL faiths who have been pledging

prayers. Amazing.

Guys, there’s not much I can do for you just now but

I’m always here.

YNWA

Duncan

    • Is kelleher fit? With Alison surely going back home for his dad's funeral, we'll be needing the young whipper snapper to play in goals for the next 3 weeks. Can't be fucking doing watching Adrian anymore.
    • Rafa Benitez feels he has unfinished business at Liverpool and would love to manage the club again one day.   The 60 year-old Spaniard is currently out of work after latest club Dalian Pro in the Chinese SuperLeague in late January.   The well-travelled manager is known as someone who loves a project and Journalist and close confidant Guillem Balague has said that he would love a return to Liverpool although it is not on the cards at this time.   The Echo reported Balague as saying:   “There is a feeling of unfinished business with Rafa and Liverpool, I've always said that.   “Rafa would love to be the Liverpool manager at some point. Maybe in a time of crisis, proper crisis, not what's happening now.   “Maybe in a time where there's a need for a strong personality to steady a ship. But right now in the way that the owners are behaving and Klopp and everything, that situation doesn't exist.   "How can we think that Klopp has reached the end of an era? Look at the bigger picture, how can anyone suggest that?   "It's laughable. It's stupid and absurd to be talking about a future without Klopp."   The issue regarding who will succeed Klopp when the time comes has sprung to life during the last few weeks.   Unsubstantiated rumours a few weeks ago that the German was considering his position due to the significant drop in form by the team turned out to be just that, as it was revealed he was dealing with a personal tragedy with the passing of his mother.   There will come a time when Klopp does decide to walk away from this fantastic team that he built and while it will be a incredibly sad day, there will be no lack of suitors for the role.     The main question is would they look to bring back a manager past or look at someone with progressive Football philosophies.   Benitez unquestionably won the hearts of a lot of Liverpool fans with his ability to connect with the fanbase on and off the pitch and restoring Liverpool’s name as the pre-eminent team in Europe.   He fought the good fight against Liverpool’s rivals, never taking a backward step ruffling plenty of feathers and creating everlasting memories along the way.   His disputes with the owners at the time will go down in Anfield folklore, but his pre-occupation with what was happening off the pitch ended up affecting performances on it and his own judgement when it came to buying and selling players.   It would be harsh to say that Benitez’s best days are behind him, but would he be able to re-invent and alter his pragmatic ways, something that his old sparring partner Jose Mourinho has failed to do?   At this stage it is nothing more than a hypothetical scenario and may very well remain that way.    But like many things in Football, it presents itself as an interesting talking point.

    • The very epitome of negative football; competing only to deny others rather them winning it.
    • It means if true we're gonna miss Alisson too for a while. God bless.
