Changing of the guard- Togo, Cote d'Ivorie, Angola, Ghana are in.

I think if teh Czechs or Norgies don't make it, TOGO is going to be my team. Would rather of seen Cameroons instead of Cote d'Ivorie, so I guess E'to is going to have to pay back that bitch Drogba in the CL knock out.

Togo will be the new Senegal. I wonder if they have a Sheriff who can do a job for us in 06-7??

Sad day for me - as I was born in Nigeria I was hoping they could sneek through but it will be interesting to see if any of these new teams can do any better than the old guard.

Morocco up early on the Tunisians. Reckon Morocco can do better than Tunisia.

Oh, the forum will be gald to know that I actually had a Nigerian mate. Used to live near me and we car pooled to work. Had great conversions aboot colonialism, Mugabe, Amin, African despot dicators in general,Shell Oil and Nigerian football and how if he'd stayed in Nigeria he'd have had at least five wives.

I have a Ghanain mate, who you'll all be interested to know I'll be out fixing railway with tonight into the early hours of the morning. He's well chuffed that they looked like they would do it, he'll be a a happy man tonight.

Thing is with African teams, they're full of Africans and as every good TLWer knows those African people have no discipline ;)

If they get England and beat them it'll be funny as fuck in our office watching him lap it up.

Did Mali (wools) get through ? - would be good to see Momo & Djimi (wools) playing in a World (wools) Cup.

They came close. They were only 15 points off qualification and were pushed out by Togo, Senegal, Zambia and the Congo in thier six team group.

They put Liberia in thier place though.
