Me too - although I think the main priority should be the right winger as we have at least some options at centre half.

mmm he is Benfica's "best player"and captain, about to turn 26, He is a very quick attacking midfielder/wing forward with a lighting fast dribble and a taste for scoring decisive goals.

I'm sure we tried to sign him when Houllier was in charge. Says he's the Benfica captain now so must have something about him.

 

Could be wrong but I think he's a free-kick specialist as well which would be great as it's something else we've needed badly. Didn't he score one of the penalties that knocked England out of the Euro '04? I haven't seen him play since then but from what I remember he's really skillful, likes to take players on and delivers great crosses. Also remember him being a little dogged and not the archetypal fanny that wingers often are.

 

Would be a bit of a coup for us to be honest, just wish we'd have tried to do it a few weeks ago.

Simao is small but he has all the tricks in the world and will add something to the team. He certainly has the skills to get fans excited. I'd be well happy if we got him.
