The German courts have ruled that Anwar El Ghazi was illegally dismissed by FSV Mainz 05 after he expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people on his social media.

The court have ruled that he be paid €1.7m in compensation and that his contract remains valid, meaning that he should be reinstated or have the remainder of his contract bought out.

I really didn't think it'd take so long (looking then scrolling all the way back to the present to double check) but I checked to see when Starmer last tweeted about Israel/Gaza, it was May 21st unless I missed something :

He mentions "the war" and "the humanitarian crisis" after making demands for the hostages but doesn't even mention Israel by name.

I think it'll soon hit home to a lot of voters that it's now Mr Human Rights Lawyer's gov supporting genocide and not the Tories, then things will start going to shit like they should do unless something changes. He just needs to go another week though to have avoided tweeting anything on it for two months so maybe that's his main focus for now.

Maybe they don't care.
