Utter nonsense. You're going to have to stop talking such complete crap. Genocide isn't "police being heavy-handed" or "rent-dodgers being evicted" or "Jews building houses where they shouldn't" and you demean the real victims of genocide by using it here.

Israel is committing genocide right now and has been for a while. If you are saying that shooting unarmed civilians is police being heavy handed and bulldozing homes of families to extend your own patch is evicting rent-dodgers you are either thick as fuck and blind to reality or an evil lying fucker.

"Rent dodgers being evicted"

The mask slipped a bit here Stronts. Going to have to row back a bit to pretend you don't support the actions of the Israeli government and IDF, and that actually you just want to see peace, etc, etc. I mean, no-one actually believes you. However much you want to play tedious games with the English language, but even so, this was some of your more obvious work.

Perhaps go back and quote something you said 12 years ago that sounded vaguely like you weren't entirely in support of children being killed on a beach. That'll convince everyone. Or possibly you, anyway.

Just watched this being reported on BBC news at 10.You’d think Israel is the innocent party watching it - just focussing on the rockets being fired into Tel Aviv.No mention of the numbers dead on both sides which I presume would give a clearer indication of the true aggressor.Mental

That's right, just focus on misdemeanours from one side, ignore the people on the opposite side who did exactly the same. No agenda from you.

Be wary of applying this "logic" to earlier conflicts, as it would make us look like the bad guys and Nazi Germany the good guys.

To be clear, I'm referring to the very first act of hostility in the history of modern Israel from which everything happening now can be traced back to, when the Arab nations invaded Israel on its first day of existence and tried to snuff it out at birth.

I usually stay out of this argument but this is a whopper.

Everything now can be traced back to then. Are you serious?

1. It goes back a lot longer than that and you know it.

2. The Arabs believe that their land was taken from them. It does not matter whether you agree or not, the consequences of this have historically almost always led to conflict/hostility.

Fuck me, even just the acknowledgement that the Palestinians think they were/are being robbed of their heritage (not to mention civil rights) would go a long way. On here, from you SD and in the middle east by Israel.

It's the same thing in the Covid thread. Can only pretend for so long that the people missing cancer screenings are worrying him to death until he tells people to go live in North Korea if they think lockdowns were necessary and that masks are muzzles.

Would all be better if he just admitted he supported what Israel is doing to Palestinians and cut the crap.

Please read what I wrote. I didn't say that it didn't go back further, but hostility against the modern state of Israel only goes back to the beginning of the modern state of Israel. Clearly before then you had Jews going home, or trying to, given that the British stopped most of them, and the revolt and acts of violence against Jews by local Arab populations which prompted the partition of the British mandate in the first place.

I'm aware that some Arabs believe they are entitled to the entirety of Mandatory Palestine. I think it probably does matter whether this claim has any merit. Obviously we know who are the true aborigines of that region; how Hadrian changed the name from Judea to Palestine as punishment for Jewish rebellion against Roman rule; how the region was subsequently conquered by Muslim Arabs in the 7th century, who built the al-Aqsa mosque on top of the site of the old Jewish temple as a further act of erasure.

But there are competing claims on the land, regardless of whose may be the strongest, so the only way forward is one which can accommodate both parties, and so it is unfortunate that one side has repeatedly refused to come to an agreement with the other.

Lastly, just to note the irony of blerts like 3 Stacks, who lives in a country which stole a virtual continent from the natives who lived there and "generously" returned about 2% of it to them. When America returns America to the Native Americans is when people will listen to anything he has to say about Judea and Samaria.
