They are not a strategic location. They have no gas, oil or other natural resources that can be exploited. They are an inconvenience on land steadily being taken by illegal Israeli settlements, and will slowly, inexorably be pushed into the sea.

 

They have no value to world governments. And when you have no value, people avert their gaze from your plight.

Well, that and the people who are committing the atrocities against them very much do have geopolitical value. 

 

We allow Saudi Arabia and Israel, two of the most hateful regimes on the planet, to murder kids because it's in our political and economic interests to do so.

They also have few, if any, people in positions of influence in the western world; politicians, people working in and owning media outlets, business leaders, lobbyists.

 

There are some politicians looking out for their interests, but of course they're then demonised and marginalised by the people who are very much not looking out for their interests.
