Maybe amongst all the sympathy for an abuser, we could find a little sympathy for the actual victim. Just a thought.

Are you suggesting that we’re not sympathetic towards his girlfriend or that you’d prefer it if we were more explicit about it?

If it’s the former, then you’re wrong. If it’s the latter, then you have a point. I guess it’s easy to argue that sympathy for a victim of this type of domestic violence goes without saying. The reality is, it doesn’t always. For a whole myriad of reasons.

For the record, I’m extremely sympathetic to towards the assault victim but hope that, if any positive can be taken from it, that it’s the ‘rock bottom’ addicts often need to hit before they have any chance of any kind of recovery.

No doubt he has acted out of order and of course sympathy with his victim. See for most that sympathy goes without saying. The subject is topical, she doesn't read this thread so why do people always have to throw a comment in like a dog on heat for some sort of moral superiority.

Plus, they are a boss band regardless of what the pot-head says.

I’d imagine virtually everyone on here would assume that was a given.

Much like you argue with your criticism of Israel.

I don't know, maybe I'm over sensitive to these things, and I'm just fed up of seeing men attack women, then having people say what a tragedy it is for the man. The female victim always seems to be an afterthought.

Some assumption that.

Apparently he battered her and his kid had to phone the police. Was going not guilty until the CCTV was revealed.  Sounds like a right cunt.

(I’ve just seen a lad tweet ‘Sounds like she’s in love with a psycho’. He’s getting some fucking grief. Too soon mate, too soon).

Like no one else is fed up with domestic abuse (it’s not just male on female)?

It’s one of the cuntiest things going. To control, manipulate and beat someone weaker than you is bullying. I’ve never seen anyone on here ever try and justify bullying.

The first thought is always for the woman. However it makes perfect sense to hope the bloke sorts Himself out so he never does it again to some other poor person.

Without wanting to go too Daily Mail comments section, 200 hrs community service seems like quite the result for Tom.

He'll probably fail to complete them if he's still smoking the crack pipe.

If they really wanted to punish him, they should make him listen to Kasabian records for 200 hours.

Fucking Hell, there's always somebody who has to take it too far.

Nonsense. I once had the misfortune to do community service (only 40 hours admittedly). I can assure you that the consumption of class A drugs didn’t really deter my co workers or I from approaching even the most menial of tasks with a sense of civic pride. Its almost a pre requisite whilst on these kind of assignments.
