Not a particularly enjoyable watch but a very good result again.

Far too many sloppy passes tonight for my liking, Trent goes from Xavi to Stevie Wonder in the space of a few seconds at times, very frustrating. Diaz as well, I'm just not seeing it from him at the moment at all, am I the only one?

On the plus side, I thought the Gravmeister & Szoboszlai were good tonight.

Laura Woods is rough as chips btw.

Diaz will probably never make the jump, but the fact our left wing is essentially a rotational duo, with him and Gakpo, makes it semi acceptable. He has the hat trick against Leverkusen but he hasn't scored in the league for a long time.

Not the sharpest performance tonight. We were sloppy in the attacking third and seemed reluctant to make Girona at least second-guess a little by attempting shots from outside the box. Trying to play through and around them when they had numbers back made us a tad predictable, highlighted by the fact none of our front 3 were on it tonight. Darwin is struggling with the basics at the moment and has zero composure in front of goal. As a team, I think we also allowed Girona to run at us too often and if they had someone better than Danjuma up front, we might have got into a spot of bother.

It's one of those games where we've done just enough to get the win, but it's through a combination of both professionalism as well as our own sloppiness in looking after the ball not being punished thanks to our opponents' lack of quality.

Stll, 6 wins from 6 all but guarantees us a spot in the knockout stage, and we can concentrate on domestic football for the next 6 weeks or so.

What for?

 1. We should get an easier way to the final

2. We earn more money.

3. Every point  give us better European seeding

4. Its a nice thing to do and we will be the first club to do it.

Life without Salah is actually going to be far more terrifying than life without Klopp.

I'm sure we can find someone else to take the penalties & worth remembering we've coped ok when he's been away to Afcon.

Players and managers leaving the club shouldn't terrify supporters.

A fairly professional away performance. But my god we get fog-brained when playing out from the back. Lots of times the faffing about ended up with someone playing a ball right into the centre, where one of our players was obliged to control it and spin around or else lose it in a congested area (usually the latter). Why? There was no need for it. Then, take late on: more faffing about then Virge, with several attacking options, not only chooses to pass back to Alisson, but also POINTS at Robbo for the next pass, ignoring the fact (a) Robbo wasn't ready for it and (b) he's alerting three opponents where the ball's going to! Why not send them a text as well while you're about it? Play out from the back - fine, but do it with pace and know where your next two passes are going, don't do this dawdling nonsense. Against a better team, I'd hope, we probably wouldn't do it, but why do it in any game?

We do it on purpose. We aren't ever going to play out from the back at pace under Slot. His whole system is to draw the opposition in, then play the pass to make the opponents run more. It's what he wants and it's been pretty obvious from day one.

I'm not a fan either because we play so slowly but we are winning games and look much fitter in games without wide open spaces on the counter (apart from a few games like today)

Today's game was tricky. They sat so deep with 11 behind the ball and that pitch it tight. There was no space. We didn't play well but should have scored at least 2 before half time. Good win though, we've definitely qualified now.

Yes, of course I know that. But presumably we don't play it to an opponent on purpose, or eventually hoof the ball into touch on purpose. That would seem like an absurd tactic to follow on purpose. And my point has never been about the conception; it's been about the execution. So I know why we do it. My criticism is - and I think you agree - we don't do it well enough often enough.

We didn't play slowly against City and Madrid. We played quick and then on our terms. I have no concerns about us at home, haven't for years thanks to Jurgen. I'm not convinced about us away but we are getting results. We are within touching distance of a title if our away form holds up just enough.

As the club are such skinflints, I’d imagine Slot will be gently encouraged to keep the win bonuses going even when we’ve qualified.

Cunningham is just a clown, but given is a bitter cunt, ex city and Newcastle to boot.

I honestly think Cunningham is a bit special. He was on our game against Newcastle last week and was asked about Quansah playing right back.

"Slot clearly doesn't fancy him, he knows he can't defend."

Nothing to do with him being out with a hamstring injury for the previous three weeks, then. Moron.

Given is a proper bitter cunt, we're talking Neville levels of bitter.
