‘Irrational’ Behaviour.

I also have this irrational need to use random Jim Carrey quotes for various everyday events

Parking the car - ‘Liike A Glove’

Feeding a pet - ‘Hungry, fella?’

Agreeing to do something - ‘Alrighty then.’

Someone compliments me on something I did  - ‘I know, I was there’.

Feeling a bit sweaty - ‘It’s kinda hot in these rhinos’.

All done in a terrible attempt at his voice. I fear it won’t be long before my kids emancipate me.

A standard work day for me is 7:24. I start at 6:30am (you can start any time from 6:30-10am and finish from 2:30-7pm) and as I can't finish at 2:24 due to core time rules, I have to finish at any time that is 14:54, 15:24...etc.

That's purely so my flexi balance is a round hour or half hour. I generally finish at 16:24 so I get 2 hours flexi Mon-Thurs but finish at 12:54 on a Friday so I only lose 1 hour. If I book a flexi day, I have to have 24 spare minutes showing on my balance so as I have a round number when I come back.

Fries my head if I deviate from that method.

Christ, this post gave me flashbacks to GCSE maths questions.

How long would Preston Red have to work each day if he was on a six day week with only two days flexi?

Show your workings.

I do wish I could act like him where our Exec is concerned because she is one fucking horrible twat of a person.

My work day is officially 8:30am - 5:00 pm .

I never leave the house before 9:00 and rarely finish work after 4:30. Some may call me a thief , but I prefer to be labelled lazy.

I turn off instantly any song that starts with, or has part of  ‘I was walking down the street’ in the lyrics, which is an alarming number of songs.

Yours?

Is it specific lyrics as you’ve written there, or just near reference to walking down the street? Like would Paul Simon singing “a man walks down the street and he says” count, or does it have to be “I was walking down the street” exactly?
