I'll still be surprised as have said all week if this goes ahead.

Those winds are gonna cause havoc in and around the pit, probably more so in that shithole than more modern grounds and of course for people on the roads, buses and trains.

You’re defo after a ticket from someone in town mind sober travelling.

First dibs please! I’m 15 minutes from the ground etc

We had a game called off due to slippery conditions (snow?) on the terraces and around the ground. It might have even been a derby at Anfield?

Yes there was a derby at Anfield postponed, in about 95/96/97 I reckon. Very late on too as I was walking to the ground.

Yeah I remember that. Got called off as I was approaching the ground. I think I went home and watched Newcastle beat man united 5-0.

The replay was 1-1, a fowler header and a late David James fuck up for their equaliser.

There's been a good few over the years around the Xmas period over the conditions outside, frozen paths and stands etc around the grounds rather than the actual weather.

We had a game v villa in the late 90s that was postponed for such a reason.

I travelled to Villa Park by coach for that. We got there and turned round. It was due to snow. Had to replay it on a freezing January or February night but we won 2-0. It was originally a Boxing Day fixture and I took my lad who was about 10 at the time.

Boxing Day. I went hoping to get a ticket outside only to find out it had been postponed. In the days before smart phones etc!

It would be better off calling this one off if there's going to be 80 kmph winds during the game as currently forecast. That'll be a major leveller for the shit team.

Plus Woodison might blow away with everyone in it. Don't want to that happening.

Was that the match where Collymore scored from a free kick that was tapped to him and Bosnich couldn't keep it out. God got the other one didn't he?

The 115 charges should be called out and mentioned at every single opportunity.  They are cheating cunts who are ruining the game, why be nice.

I was there, Robbie scored an exocet missile from miles out, one of the best strikes I've ever seen. Villa were a good side then and it was a top class game

Yes I went to both of them.

Heard it was called off just as the coach pulled up to the ground. It was bollock cold freezing.
