A meeting is due to take place at 5pm today between officials from @Everton and @LFC following advice from the Safety Advisory Group, to decide whether to postpone tomorrow’s game after a red warning was issued for Merseyside ahead of tomorrow’s Merseyside Derby.

Where was this from? - only seen the statement from clubs about taking care/extra time

I'd prefer this to go ahead. It will be midweek in March if not. Atmosphere will be rabid at a night time game, tomorrow will be fairly tame in comparison given the weather.

Might not need to be in March. If we finish in the top 8 of the champions league we would have potentially  a couple of free midweeks in February when the playoff knock out rounds a played.

Knockout phase play-offs: 11/12 & 18/19 February 2025

It would be better off calling this one off if there's going to be 80 kmph winds during the game as currently forecast. That'll be a major leveller for the shit team.

Plus Woodison might blow away with everyone in it. Don't want to that happening.

Don’t think I can remember a premier league game being called off for weather

There's been a good few over the years around the Xmas period over the conditions outside, frozen paths and stands etc around the grounds rather than the actual weather.

We had a game v villa in the late 90s that was postponed for such a reason.
