I'm happy it's off, it was positioned really bad for us. We now get a breather before the Xmas madness and perhaps play semi decent sides in the cup games.

To each their own.

I just don't fancy a possible fixture pile up - if we make milk cup final as well it adds another game to fit in at a later date.

Xmas isn't that bad this year - just a 'normal' (by modern madness standards) 3 games in a a week... 22nd, 26th, 29th - Sun, Thurs, Sun.

Then a week with nothing until play mancs on 5th and then the fa cup on 11th where we can field a shadow side. A possible milk cup semi final 1st leg in between those two i think.

Anyway game is off today of course and it is what it is.

Pleased it’s called off for all the reasons already stated on here but I wonder why  the other North West based games haven’t?

Weather not as bad there and later.

Manc only a yellow warning for example whereas we are on amber.

League games can be played Champions League nights so at least a point on Tuesday and that's an obvious landing spot during the play offs.

Or late April/May to wrap up the league.

I love about 1-2 miles from Goodison. The weather is bad now and has been steadily worsening all morning. You couldn’t play football in this, especially as Goodison has open points at the corners of the ground. It’s basically be a wind tunnel.

Can’t you love somewhere else ?

Might heavily depend on if TNT demand to keep it as a live game.

But we'll see of course.

My first instinct is to react like Code has but we should know more than any support that a game of Football is not worth losing a life over so if the postponement saves one person from being killed in a car crash or by falling debris, then it has been worth it.

Safety first, then worry about rearranging the fixture later.

Up the Reds.

Will there be tens of thousands of people in Coopers? No? Then stop being a prick.

(Very few things boil my piss more than politicians and public officials being blasé about public safety.  It's a fucking game.  So you've had a wasted journey? Tough! Stop whining.)

It's the cost of a couple of pints in Oslo, forfeited.

NYD would possibly make sense for it.

We both play on the 29th December and they play 4th Jan with our game against the mancs on the 5th.

Brentford v Arsenal is at 5.30pm, there is a full Championship schedule.

8pm makes sense.

Utter woke nonsense. Dyche could easily get a tune out of his mob in this weather.

As far as I'm aware, TNT can't demand anything.

I don't know. Be interesting to see.

I'd have still much preferred us to be beating the shite today and then saying to Arsenal and Chelsea there you go, boys, 10 pts behind us ahead of tricky London derbies and to Abu Dhabi 12 pts behind us ahead of a tricky trip to Crystal Palace.

Poxy weather!

Yeah i can see both sides, I fall on the side of this is a favourable outcome for us, apart from any fans fucked over.

I don't think the weather in London is great later on either so would be nice if that levels up the games there and one or both drop points as we have our feet up.

Pleased it's off. This had all the hallmarks of being the worst game possible for Kelleher to try and get over his brain fart. Dyche would've had the ball launched into the stratosphere of our area at every occasion, to come down swirling with ice on it whilst knickers-and-bras bumped and backed into our keeper doing his best "Who me?" Harry Kane act. Fuck that.
