Its not even a good post. Its a repeat of what a few people, who dont really know anything about football say every year. That despite the fact we have 8 defenders and doubles at every position, that this is somehow negligence because a bunch of them get injured at the same time.

The problem is almost never the numbers or depth, its the quality of player. Endo, Gomez, Chiesa. None of these should really be here at this point. Even Gomez, who can play well, but then he doesnt look like a footballer yesterday. I dont know why he is still at Liverpool. He should be playing almost every week somewhere else.

Gomez is fine and one of those players you need in every squad, it's Quansah who is the issue, he's not ready yet for this level. If we had 3 top class centre backs Gomez is reserve cover then for every position across the back 4. We lose Konate and you are debating Gomez or Quansah.

Slot was comfortable with Quansah starting the season as first choice, until he saw him in a real game. That's not really on the club. That's an evaluation Slot made that he probably now feels was wrong.

Either way, he's a young player who will go through ups and downs.

The pass was shit but atleast he saw there was a player there.

But whats unforgivable is that he just stops at a certain point, if he had any brains he keeps running another 3 or 4 yards and blocks the pass into the middle. And the player probably doesn't play it.

That's why we cant press with him in the team, he doesn't know what he's doing or have a football brain. It fucks up our balance so much.

He got outpaced by Dan Burn with a five yard head start as well, but agree completely about him stopping and song a little jump instead of covering back.

Ha ha ha - Beef is posting??

Good year when an away draw in December to a resplendent Newcastle side is the first opportunity for the Whack a Mole to stick his head above the parapet.

Im not complaining at the result. Newcastle away isn't easy, they have a few good players and most of them were fit.

My complaint is that we play too many games and the players we have can't handle it. Slot needs more choice. It's no good him having a bench of players he doesn't care for, you might as well have sold Endo and Morton and brought in someone he actually wants to rotate. But we did nothing, we gambled on Gravenberch who has excelled but lets be honest he's playing nearly every game, he'll be on fumes by march.

And to answer three stacks...a few people who tow the same party line as I have said these things until we are blue in the face and it always plays out as we expect, year in year out. You can't sit there and say it's unfortunate...we know these players can't stay fit regardless of how good they are. Konate, Jota, Jones and then we bought Cheisa who has a questionable record.

These players are good players but useless if they miss large chunks of the season. you negate that by bringing in players who never get crocked (like Salah, Gakpo, Van Dijk) or you bring in extra quality to replace the ones you don't want to use.

Its not difficult but we MAKE it difficult.

Hes a young player who hasn't been comfortable this season who won't excel at right back in a tough, crucial fixture. We shouldn't have to play him there but we are forced to.

Thank you mate, it confirms it was just how I remembered it. I stand by what I said last night, most of the blame for that goal should go to Nunez.

Your man was very lucky not to concede one a lot more directly than that in the first half.

BTW,give Mo a ring and arrange a room to release your pent up sexual desire with him.

He could have easily played Gomez there. It was a tactical decision because he clearly doesn't want Gomez playing full back. But guess what, we have two other first team right backs and they weren't available to start. So those are the breaks.

The referee's performance last night felt oddly familiar. Lots of soft free kicks against us, blatant fouls not given to us. 9 free kicks off against them, 17 against us. 5 bookings to us (the Mac Allister one was scandalous), one, in normal time to them. Deja vu all over again - the exact same performance by this guy in the Goodison derby earlier this year..... 13 fouls against us, 6 against them - even though we had 76% possession! And the soft free kicks he gave them laid the platform for the aerial bombardment which they duly exploited. Last night, I was surprised he didn't take the opportunity to give them a penalty for the Quansah challenge. I wasn't surprised he didn't give the one for the foul on Diaz.

He was also ref at Palace last season when he failed to give the most blatant foul of the day (Hughes on Endo), which led to them getting a penalty - subsequently overturned after 30(!) replays by Madley and VAR, despite it being an absolute no brainer. He did however send off Ayew in that game for a pretty debatable 2nd yellow.

Is he a really, really shit ref? Undoubtedly. Is there anything more sinister there? Probably not, but who knows (maybe we have to wait for the videos to be leaked!)

It's no use debating this stuff with you, because the only thing you ever have to say is we have no depth. We don't have enough players. What exactly can the response be to this when all the positions are doubled in the squad heading into the season? From a numbers perspective there is literally nothing else you can do. From a talent perspective, of course there are players who aren't good enough.

Nunez was poor last night and hasn’t lived up to expectations but the shite that gets posted in here is ridiculous. Reading most of the post, you’d think he was purposely trying to miss chances and was the antichrist. Some of you need to get a fucking grip and stop being absolute cunts.

Beefy is a sad miserable prick and only appears when something doesn’t go to plan. If we win the league, he will have a fucking breakdown.

It's weird, he's ALWAYS angry regardless of how well things are going overall. He's usually on the money in the GF though, just a bit of a crank on here.
