If we look at the last six games for City where they have failed to win, they have still had most of the ball in every game and the most shots every game.

But they have been wide open at the back and given away easy goals and chances.

They will have the ball a lot and they will create chances, we just need to take ours, because they will certainly give chances away as well.

In these six games they actually have had a 109- 61 in total shots, but a 7-17 goal difference.

Its actually pretty crazy numbers when you look at it.

I hope we win, but I’m certainly not writing City off in this game, they will create their  chances.

I don’t think form matters for this. I’m looking at it as any other game against these cheats. Nervous. Beat them and we will take some catching. Let’s hope roll neck bean head is bleeding at the end. The weird scratchy divvy.

Im the same. Seen it enough with shit Chelsea teams who have upped their game against us. No doubt will be a tough game

Has anyone mentioned that this is a massive game?  If we win, we end their league campaign while Noddy Holder is still warming-up his vocal chords. A draw would leave us with an impressive lead.  Even if we lose we'll still be clear at the top (although the media bukkake over Guardiola and Club 115 will ignore that). But let's not let that happen.

Just get these beat, Reds.

It's never over against cheating twats and our nemesis 'The Winter Fixture Schedule.' Just keep winning and things will take care of themselves.

Id be gutted with a draw to be honest.

I'm the same. Normally I wouldn't but this feels different. This is foot on throat time. 11pts with a win and 9pts and a home game on Arsenal. Given the history of a lead like that it should really only end up one way with a win.

I'm not overly confident to be honest but that's normally a good thing.

I just have a feeling it will be a damp squib and end up 0-0 or 1-1, which wouldn't be a disaster.

I agree with both - a draw wouldn’t be a disaster (I could see a potential stalemate as well) and it would feel a bit gutting.

I try and think of this way… if we’d have won and went 8 points clear, we’d all be bouncing.

Hopefully Nūnez misses a 1 on 1 early doors so you can get stuck right into him.

How many games without a goal has it been now, are we still on the early season downward curve with room to spare or are we primed for that little spike of optimism that precedes the end of season tank?

I'm surprised crypto bro's aren't all over his career, they love a bit of HODL'ing and Mooning.*

*Yeah I had to google it.

I don't think Nunez will start but if he does hopefully it's his 1st half against Madrid not his performance at Southampton.

I Hope he bags a hatrick, hell I'd take a 1-0 win with the ball bouncing in off his arse while he's laying in the penalty area pretending he's been hit in the face.

I think we'll need a lot more. Madrid weren't great midweek, yes we were excellent but the standard will be up a fair few notches Sunday.

you're probably right, but a number of our players put in their best performances of the season against Madrid.  Let's hope they can do it for a second game.
