My best mate is a villa fan.

He reckons they where denied a stone wall penalty.

What a twat!!

Just point out so were we within the first few minutes. Then tell him to shut the fuck up and concentrate on their battle with Spurs for the Europa Conference League.

Tell him we were denied a stone wall red card for the challenge on Salah when Nunez scored.

I will never understand how you can bring it back to give a player a yellow after the advantage, but not a red.

It appears Coote waved the foul away. Had Darwin not taken the ball up and scored, staggeringly it looks like he was going to say no foul.

Yeah he said no foul on Salah. Which may or may not have got overturned by the VAR, but as it was Paul Tierney, probably wouldn’t have been.

Yeah me too, was boss wasn’t it, everyone was buzzing at the end. I feel like the crowd is learning we need to maybe make an effort to back the players from time to time. Arne is educating us to a new way of playing and we look fucking tough to play against.

The crowd was brilliant. Don't remember a lull of singing the whole game even when we were "passive" on the ball.

TNT showed a clear replay of referee's reaction.

It was ignored on subsequent TNT analysis and on Match of the Day.

Yeh, they showed it from behind the Anny Road goal and he definitely does that sweeping two-armed thing indicating no foul.

To be fair though, there were a few occasions were him and Tierney could easily have shafted us without any real comeback but didn't. Without doing any major analysis, we seem to be getting more favourable refereeing than when Jurgen was here.

Coote looks like a hapless policeman in a George Formby film.

There are a few refs who are out of their depth, but he actually looks as though he knows it. He has a haunted look as if he's trapped in a recurring nightmare where he's doing a job he doesn't understand.

Getting really sick of these set peice coaching twats running round the side lines like they own the fucking place.

Watching Neil from the young ones in the Villa Technical area jumping up and down like the players are actually paying any attention to him was just bizarre.

All they need to do it tell the players what to do at set pieces before the game starts and at half time then sit down and shut the fuck up.

Same goes for the Arsenal prick aswell.

Just write "Don't concede from your own corners" on a whiteboard.

Diaz was poor especially in the first half, but he certainly put a performance in during the week

Loved the way he tracked back in the 2nd half to snuff out a counter from Villa . I think it was the sub Philogene who was in a good position.

I was convinced it was Taylor Hawkins.

Stinks doesn't it, these are the top referees in this country.

The whole point of what he’s doing is to bring Salah down, it’s mystifying someone can be involved in football and not see this.

It’s not like Bailey even has the common courtesy to disguise it.

Even the TNT commentator (Fletcher?) was baffled by both that and the earlier one where Mo was pulled back and no foul was given.
