And so it came to pass!

Best atmosphere for a "normal" league game in a long time.

Another potentially difficult test passed. Another clean sheet. Another goal for Mo.

What's not to love?

Yeah my mate just whatsapped me and said "bouncing, crowd really turned up"

Irritatingly he had a spare which he offered me and i couldn't go!

The fact that I'm still a bit disappointed that we're not 8 points clear speaks volumes about how well we've started under Slot. Who knows what the season will ultimately bring, but I couldn't possibly have imagined we'd be in such a good position at this point. In a way, the lack of expectation following Klopp's departure has made it all the more enjoyable so far...

Emery interviewed there didn't think we had clear chances. Fucking hell.

In fairness he’s probably low on blood, so there’ll be a few missing Birmingham clubbers in the morning.

Smells of self-delusion though. I think they had a good season last year, but are finding it difficult to replicate when trying to balance Europe and the PL. He was playing percentage football tonight and it didn’t go well.

I didn’t follow this forum during this game, but people are down on our performance?

we bossed. That game. We let them

Back in A bit too much, but they never looked like threatening

I’d have preferred us to keep forward 45-75, but we beat a good team again.

this might all turn to dust, but for now it’s fucking boss

Souness 1st was 1-1 in September 91.

A bit like when Klopp and co faced Brighton instead in summer 2020!

We got the job done tonight. Not always convincing, and downright patchy in parts, but overall I do think we were better.

Darwin arrived in the same summer that the oil cheats got Haaland, and one of the key reasons why the Norwegian has scored so many more goals is that he has an uncanny ability to get efforts on target from the same positions that Darwin often doesn't, and Haaland also often makes his connection with the ball at precisely the moment the goalkeeper hasn't got his feet set so cannot time his dive.

Hopefully Trent's knock is just one to keep him away from the England set-up, and not some that will see him miss a load of Liverpool games.

David Coote is such a dweeby-faced shitbag, he's got 'jobsworth HR cunt' and 'traffic warden' written all over him.

I can see what Emery means about not really creating any chances.
Darwin’s missed header was the only really good chance we had from “open play”.

Both our goals, Darwin’s shit finish and another couple of good positions came from us breaking after one of their set pieces.

Maybe he should be having a word with his set piece coach.
