As would I, but that isn't the question of this thread. Dhoni transcends the sport in a way that none of those do.

Does he? Maybe I don’t understand the question then!

 

I would have transcending the sport as someone who is universally acknowledged as one of the greatest players ever, and is so good that they become world famous so that even people who don’t watch the sport know who they are. 
So, if you only know one great golfer, it will be Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus… one boxer would be Ali, etc.
