Read what I said!

They are not *automatically* addictive.

Not everything is addictive for everyone but sleep tablets are addictive. Did you shave a bit of your brain yesterday and all?!

Anyway post pics of the roast on the foodie thread.

They ‘can be’ addictive.

They can also be used entirely safely under medical supervision and it’s completely wrong to say they can’t.

I haven't had sleeping tablets, but I find when I miss things even like my magnesium or zinc , I'm guaranteed a poor night's sleep. Just last night I decided to take 1/2 magnesium because it upsets my bowels a bit, and I must have woke up about 6 times

Magnesium is a natural laxative so dosage is vital?

In terms of sleeping tablets if we're talking about benzodiazelines like diazepam etc then in the long term they're a fucker as they will lead to dependence, tolerance and withdrawal etc. Mirtazepine isn't in that same class and would be more thought of as an anti depressant but it can help with sleep. It doesn't work in the same way so there's nowhere near the same concern as with a drug like diazepam or zoliclone.

No doubt, I think I originally had sulfate , then recently hydroxide and that's what's given me the loose bowels.

Ive binned them for glycinate , I'm hoping they're ok

The last few days I’ve been getting severe stomach pains after my evening meal. They ease after a couple of hours, after a combination of paracetamol, codeine, and curling up like a ball in a dark room.

I’m just coming out the back end of an attack now.

Plenty going on in my life that could be contributing to this, but a few have mentioned some issues with the magnesium supplements they take.

These are mine. I might have to knock them on the head and try something else.

Like I said, they are a natural laxative and taking Magnesium supplements could easily be the cause.

They're only a major laxative in hydroxide in my experience , if you switch to the glycinate formula , they're not half as bad on the bowels. I was taking the sulphate ones for months and never bothered me .
