PODCAST: Liverpool 2 Bologna 0 - Match Reaction

Recommended Posts

Eight wins from nine games for Arne Slot now, as the Reds did enough to overcome a spirited Bologna side who will probably feel they did enough to deserve something from the game.

Last season's Europa League pod line up are re-united for this one as Chris Smith is joined by John Brennan and TLW Editor Dave Usher.

We said 8-9 in the intro...

Dave did mention 7-8 at one point, but I think that was in reference to our record going into this game.

Not having listened yet, was that 8 offsides out of 9 passes received or, as per Dave's righteous indignaton, 7 offsides out of 8 passes received?

I'll get my coat...

Nail on head, the club will be getting Slot to prioritise the competition as much as is possible given the returns. The liklihood of a 'league cup' team is pretty remote.

Chris - "So Dave, Darwin had another of those terrible offsides again"

Dave - "Yeah, that Bologna player who's goal was disallowed was offside the whole time.  Really bad form the Bologna player. Just standing offside like that, so the Bologna player was.  Bad Bologna player.  Bad Bologna. Darwin is being hampered by new tactics. That Bologna player was a disgrace"

John - *tries to not upset Dave by saying Darwin is shite and just, in a nice way, with his nice lilt says that Darwin is shite.

Fake news, I was critical of him. I also pointed out that the Bologna lad did exactly the same thing and I criticised him too. Strikers in general do that a lot and it's annoying.

I expect this agenda driven nonsense from others, but not from you, Johnny. Be better.
