How are we only 1-0 up?

I'm surprised we've not conceded. We've done our best to, in fairness.

Great going forward, at times, but we're not exactly Milan of 89 in defence.

More like Everton 2024.

Control is what we need.

This is klopp basketball,

reminds me also of Salzburg 4.3 game.

Needlessly end to end

Not that much different from many games last year. Loads of chances, one taken, the rest wasted, and increasingly sloppy play. It's pretty outrageous, really, they're still in the game. In the Wolves game and this one, Mo has been incredibly awful with some of his passing - just horribly misjudged stuff, which is made to look even worse by the fact that the odd time he plays such a sublime pass as for the goal.

Nunez - his mind is in a different game, on a different pitch, in a different dimension. I have no idea what he's doing, and neither has he. The novelty of that has long worn off.

Gravenberch, though: what a bright spot. His potential is immense.

Nunez played a big part in the goal.

Bar 2 turns, Gravenberch has been shit tonight. Interesting he's been ahead of Macca most of the half.

A first half where we started very well, and then suddenly turned to shit. Looked like we dropped off a bit in intensity and concentration, but could also be some adjustments from their side to the high pressing, they suddenly managed to shut us down high up the field.

With their high pressing however we get great opportunities once we break through their lines. With only a decent second half we should score at least a couple more against these. Of course they’ve looked likely to score as well, so unless we get out play out from the back together, we may be in trouble at some stage.

On the individual performances not many stood out. Thought Diaz was decent. I payed special attention to Szoboszlai after all the criticism he got lately. My verdict is he played a good half. Good in the pressing, won the ball back several times, some good combination play and beat his man with the ball at feet two or three times. One good chance for him after some good play, unfortunately he dragged it just wide.

Best player of course was Gravenberch, by a country mile. He looked like an U18 player in an U14 game at times. What a season from him so far!

Nunez is woeful.

I hope we see the back of him in the summer.

Just imagine if we had someone of genuine class in the role. Like Firmino 5/6 years ago.

I still miss Bobby.
