Disagree on the first part, they're starting to look decent under Motta. Tough fixture tonight, like.

They've done well there in the end

2-2 last time I've looked and they won 3-2 with 10 men for half hour.

Nunez was shite and made us worse. He has to find something soon or his time is running out.

He’s still at least £60m player in today’s market, which probably makes a departure in the medium term more likely.

I like him, but he’s not exactly making himself indispensable. To a lesser extent, the same also applies to Gakpo. We have a very clear first choice front three.

Szoboszlai’s performance was much better tonight. Exactly the sort of game you need a player like him for. Wasn’t a fan of his reaction to being subbed off though.

He was disappointed to come off don't mind that In a player he was having a good game (after a patchy start to the season)

Well thank goodness we at least got a second. Mo is getting almost Ian Bothamesque in his ability to grab a success while you're in the middle of moaning about all his misfires.

As for Gravenberch: the irony is the oh-so-smug YouTube/podcast 'deep dive' nerds who fixate so protectively on the DM role have become just as dogmatic as those who resisted such a role in the first place: if only they'd be as open-minded as they pretend to be, they'd realise that, potentially, they're witnessing a quite fascinating evolution of the role in a very progressive direction.

The game today was tailor-made for him. An inferior team that tried to press us aggressively. But of course, he couldn't time any runs and then ended up floating around doing nothing.

Irish tv host comparing city playing a team of farmers last night and their relative ease in beating them to bologna tonight!

Fucking charlatan.

Bol were very good but still didn't create much against us.

Weird game and watching it again, you'd probably wonder why you were so worried.

Still, it's a win and we're 2 from 2.

Onwards to Palace this Saturday

Can't see that fee

Teams in Europe aren't spending them sort of fees. And I don't see a English club paying that

Yep, hard to argue with that. Tactically, he seems to fit in even less this season.

If you really think THAT was a good performance you're fecking ill.

He doesn't say it was a good performance, just that he played a part in the goal. He wasn't involved as much as usual, but pressed like fuck and was unlucky with his goal. If Slot picks him, that's good enough for me.

The first 20 minutes and the two goals were great, the rest was a bit of a snooze-fest.

Happy with the win but I can't help but worry about that tough run we have coming up, the results look like they're papering over a few cracks to me. We'll see soon enough I suppose.

He’s relatively young and has attributes that would suit the right team very well.

Maybe I’m being ambitious on the potential fee, time will tell. The problem for the club is the depreciation of his value the more peripheral he becomes.

You silly billy I didn’t say that.

Im just saying if he doesn’t basically create the first with the genius he sowed we lose that 3 nil.
