I'm not blaming Ibou for the goal, that was Alison's all day.

He even came out in injury time and went to ground and claimed a carbon copy example on the other side of the area.

I'm a bit concerned about the extent to which malaise spread around the team as the game progressed and how Slot did nothing, or couldn't, stop it.

Salah was hapless, as was MacAllister and Jota, and the simple answer was to hook one of them and send a message.  He didn't, and eventually every player sunk to their levels.

And since when did Cunha become one of the fastest players on a football field?

I think that is very harsh. A lot of our moves start with Mac Allister, he might not swing the ball around like Alonso did, he plays a role of similar importance.

Mist of our moves from deep start with Grav - the other two are pretty peripheral forward or back.  I’ve seen your boy play better, but he’s not pulling up any trees this season.

That’s because the defence is playing well, as is Gravenberch.  The rest of the midfield is not doing enough.

Yeah, we've definitely only conceded 2 goals because only 5 players are doing their jobs

While I agree with you here, who do you bring on though? Hes said chiesa’s nowhere near up to speed for the league. Nunez was ill and he doesn’t rate him anyway and there’s no one near the quality of mcallister on the bench.

Hopefully he gets heavily backed January to sort this.

That was a bit shit wasn’t it?
Always sounds a bit churlish to criticise when we’ve just won a game, but it was as well we were playing a team as poor as Wolves because against a half decent team we probably wouldn’t have picked up 3 points.

Gravenberch again played well and justified another MOM award, but again, most of the rest were poor at times, Salah scored his penalty, but didn’t do much other than that but he was far from being the only one.

Konate scored but also was partially to blame for giving a goal away. We again passed the ball poorly at times, surrendering possession after we’d just won the ball back.

But we won and got three points, so good.

Next.

Another game, another 3 points.....another tough watch. We just haven't been an exciting side to watch this season, it's great we're finding ways to win ugly but not when it becomes a habit & today all 3 goals were a result of fuck ups.....braindead defending/goalkeeping.

Grav Virg and Robbo deserve praise, Salah and Szobo deserve criticism.

Ibou besides the mix up was generally good.

Rest of them? Meh.

Really don't see what people see in Mac Allister

An elegant, technical player who wants to get on the ball and play but for me he's been average all season. Has an eye for a pass and can strike a ball well when he decides to....but otherwise it's been fairly underwhelming.

We saw him at his best in the middle of last season when Endo came in. Grav has come in and it looks as though he's taken some of the limelight off him?

Wasn't half as bad as what Szobo was today mind.

Pleased with the win but the goal we conceded and the inability the pass the ball 10 yards to a team mate in the last few minutes were very frustrating.

Still, Ryan Gravenberch is a fucking revelation & we're top of the league.

He needs to play further forward. When he gives away possession it’s nearly always dangerous for us, and I think he’d be more of a danger with his shooting ability higher up the pitch.

He's the one to unlock a packed defence with his clever passing, along with Trent but I think he offers something different, more intricate with his short distance passing & with Szobo playing himself out the team, it won't be long before we see him there.

I'd be tempted to start Jones in the 10 until dom offers more than running

And I don't mind the transition to more a possession style game, with slower build ups, if you can string 3 passes together. But we couldn't today. I don't mind playing ling balls to wide players and sometimes surrendering possession, if we hunt it down as a team from the front. Which we didn't today either. I'll have to look at the stats but it felt like we lost the ball more times today than any time in recent memory.

We were pretty lucky that wolves were complete shite.

3 points is all that matters I suppose in this early Slot era. Hopefully some consistency will come with time.
