He's suspended until April isn't he? Or is this some weird ban where it wouldn't apply in this country? The drug cheat, getting his financial cheating club to buy a drug cheat, would just about sum them up. And definitely points to them not wanting to spend any money at all.

He can play again from March according to this

Signed so they’ll get a big fee for him. Some clubs are clever like that.

That's reliant on the player playing ball with the club. If the player decides that they'd rather have the massive singing on fee that goes with refusing an extension and being out of contract over helping the club get a price for him then there's not much the club can do about that.

If anyone understands the errors labs can make with these drugs tests its Pep. Pogba will be right at home, may even meet a few lawyers who could fully over turn this gross injustice.

Edit: Delaney hates City and their fans despise him. He could be putting this out there to get responses like mine above. If it's for shits and giggles at Christmas, then fair play to him.

Loan out Quansah???

Dave the GF is taking over the FF everyone’s lost it

I said it yesterday

If we are looking at signing a CB soon and by reports we are it would make sense to loan him out for the a few months. He's in a massive run at tbe moment and needs games but we arnt in a position to give them to him and he'd need to best out Virg and Konate. I said about giving him a few months of regular football which he needs, he's not played that many games at the highest level. It's only if we are trying to sign a CB now and not in the summer

Selling Nunez for Delap is a terrible call. We’d lose a shit load on Nunez and spend even more on Delap. I’d much rather Cunha or Pedro in this system. I doubt they’ll set the league on fire but they have more potential to be Jota level which is what we need whilst Mo is still firing. Maybe the long term aim is to Have Gordon through the middle. Not sure I’m even up for selling Trent although he’s doing a good job of changing my mind. I would be in favour of loaning Quansah and bringing a body like Tah in.

What?

Why would a CB who came in now get any more opportunity than Quansah?

They probably wouldn't, but we're supposedly looking at one. Quansah needs games though and either he's not performing in training or Slot doesn't fancy him enough to give him games over Gomez

If there's any truth in City signing Pogba then Guardiola has well and truly lost the plot!

If they are going for Pogba on a free, I doubt they are particularly confident on winning this case, they’d be looking to spend money on a long term signing otherwise.

Joao Pedro showing the square root of fuck all of why we should buy him today. Take the pens out of his goalscoring and it's pretty average. Brighton will want a big fee, not sure he's worth it.

I think he shows fuck all most games. He's got chelsea for about 110m written all over him.

Slot doesn't rate Quansah and Gomez had one foot out the door this summer. Something is gonna give there.

That'd all be less of an issue if we had a partner for VVD who could stay fit. It then becomes an even bigger issue when Gomez is 3rd choice full back both sides, we have both 2nd backup full backs out, robbo supposedly struggling with fitness all season and Trent only just back from a spell out. So all of a sudden you're there with VVD.and quansah who's massively out of confidence and a manager who probably doesn't trust him - and absolutely nothing in reserve.

Just scouting out some numbers for potential midfielders this January and one name that keeps popping up on the publicly-available data (I'm sure our scouts are using proprietary databases, so they'll have better data) is Tom Bischof from Hoffenheim.

Central midfielder, age 19, good passing and dribbling numbers and his defensive stats are pretty stellar as well. Haven't heard much about him, but apparently Bayern are interested? Seems like his contract expires next summer and he could be available for cheap. I went and watched the highlights of his recent game against RB Leipzig and he looked very good, to be honest - way better than I was expecting. Did a lot of the same things as Zubimendi (maybe a bit further up the pitch?), actually, with a hint of that Gini Wijnaldum hard-to-get-the-ball-off, in a way.

Could be one to swoop for to add some midfield depth?

What happened with Wharton at Palace, talk of him seems to have gone off the boil, not that I saw us linked with him, Man city seemed to be the main interested party

Been out with a groin injury that needed surgery since October.

It's almost as if going into a season with a lack of depth at CB has never happened before.

Konate injured? We could have never foreseen this!

We haven't really got a lack of depth at CB. We have 4 of them, the issue has been Bradley and Tsimikas getting injured at the same time so Gomez isn't able to just step in and we can't make changes at fullback. We have 8 defenders for 4 places, losing 3 for a month at the same time would cause any team issues
