That's the whole fuckin point - it is as unsaavy a negotiating tactic as he could use right now.

If you believe they are not going to make an offer then the only thing the club can do is now say - "Yep, it's your last year. Enjoy."

xG is definitely not bollocks, but I think you have to take it in context. Over half their xG was after they were 0-3 down, when we had clearly taken our foot off the gas to a certain extent.
