Moneyball lite signing.

Except weird in terms of our needs right now. A forward who can play across the front is a real bonus with all the games we have (well if he gets on the pitch), but doesn't seem like money they have to spend. I wouldn't bet against someone else leaving if he comes in.

Think you got it in the other thread - basically Carvalho money standing where Doak used to.

Certainly more useful than either but not a like for like for Mo.

We would be very easy to play against on that side of the field without pace in front of Trent.

Treat all these sort of thing same personally but for what is or isn't worth...

@DiMarzio

: Chiesa and his agent Fali Ramadani will wait another day to see if Barcelona will be able to sign the 1997-born player. If the Spanish club does not provide guarantees within 24 hours, Chiesa will start looking at other options, including #LFC

I support stalking horse fc, not Liverpool fc!

Chiesa is not a player I rate all that highly - but it does make sense..

He is someone who is clearly undervalued at the reported suggested fee if he recaptures his best form and he is someone who can cover 3 positions and if things go really well then he might even replace Salah if Salah leaves next summer.

I can't see us failing to get this deal over the line.

Not in this window.

As for the deal itself, my initial reaction is no thanks we could do better. But then I find myself thinking well at least we have a new player to discover and perhaps it finally severs the links with Anthony fucking Gordon who I do not want at all. I have also found myself saying at least he's cheap.

Falling right into Edwards/Hughes/FSG's trap, aren't I?

Why do people get so upset about these welcome to threads? It's light hearted and the more you piss your pants about it, the more people are going to do it. Just don't look if you don't like it.

It sets my OCD off something rotten & starting a new thread evertime somebody farts is a bit narcissistic.

Plus it generally jinxes the transfer.

Should be a six month ban.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.
