The Current Far Right in the UK

labour cant afford to stick their head in the sand,i think that will just play into reforms hand’s.

Im not sure how they approach it though?Any sign of being on any way "weak" on it and they will get hammered.

They should come out and say without immigration the country will collapse, but one of the problems they have is the amount of thick racists cunts in this country.

They need primarily need to [put a dent in the crossings. That is the main attack point from the right.

They need to stop the small-boat crossings and to clear asylum seekers  out of hotels: those are the flashpoints.  As it happens, the best way to achieve these political ends is also the right thing to do: properly resource the asylum service to clear the backlog and provide safe routes for asylum seekers to travel to the UK.  There would be a backlash from the racist press in the short term, but once those flashpoints had been dealt with people would soon forget why they were corralled into attacking their local mosque in the first place.

I remember seeing that 67% thing a while ago, I think it could be a bit of an elephant in the room.

The question is : "From what you have seen and heard, how much responsibility, if any, do you consider each of the following to bear for causing the unrest at recent protests in England?"

Then the poll has "Immigration policy in recent years" having 36% saying it has "a great deal of responsibility" and 31% saying "a fair amount of responsibility."

The writer of that article though just decides to discard the "fair amount" and suggests sticking with "a great deal." Is that a good idea to simply discard 31% of people like that?

The issue for me is that if we're ignoring this to an extent we're talking about a possible majority of people genuinely thinking immigration is that much of a problem and it could be one of the main reasons for Farridge and Reform gaining ground over time. I don't know what the best answer to this is in the short term, I'm sure that pogroms, racists hunting down people in the streets and voting for Reform so they can save are country isn't the best way of dealing with it though.

Obviously in the longer term less destroyed countries due to wars, coups and sanctions is probably going to help people not want to leave their own countries so much. That's a whole other thing that all of the warmongering, coupmongering, sanctions happy govs (from whatever sides) are going to have to try and think about though.

I went back and looked and the writer also says this : "But it wouldn’t matter if 100% of the public thought something – this wouldn’t make it true, let alone wise or moral." Yeah agreed on that, but if it has a chance of making a lot more people potentially have thoughts about voting for idiots like Reform in the future we might want to have more of a think about how much of an issue that actually is.

It's how you interpret that question.

People who think immigration policy has been to allow swarms of forrins to invade are cuntry will say it's had a big effect.

People who think that the hostile environment and constant demonisation of immigrants has stoked racism will also say that immigration policy has had a big effect.

The 67% will be split between those two, but there's no way of telling what the split is.

He got done with attacking a car, which is a bit misleading  as a couple of Romanian lads got absolutely trashed by a violent mob

They must have been terrified

They should have done society a favour and ran the fucking toothless simpletons over.

Repeatedly

Yep..that's gotta be the priority

Even just the 'optics' of getting those numbers down will be a huge boost

Thanks, I'd not thought of it like that. Hopefully the second group of people make up a decent amount if that's the case.

I went outside for a nose at half time (Jurgens Bierhaus) and asked a bizzie and he said nah we don’t think they’ll turn up this time and if they do god help them. For the small show of a few vans on the strand and outside the Cunard there were about 6 matrix vans on Brook and Chapel street full of heavy bizzies ready to go. Thank fuck they could all go home early.

The nodding dogs have decided it’s not worth nogging

It's mad how only a few weeks ago they had 100s out?

Saw something on twitter about another attempt in September

The baby sentencing and general public annoyance at them has sapped their will. I hope they all die
