Earlier we reported that John Honey, 25, has pleaded guilty to violent disorder, criminal damage and burglary from Lush, the O2 store and Shoezone during the Hull riots.

Footage from social media and verified by our colleagues previously showed Honey trying to smash the windows of a BMW.

He appears in other videos showing looting later in the day in the city centre.

Sounds like that bastard had a shopping list from his ma

They're stupid fuckers those lads, all pleading guilty. They're throwing the book at people now, plead innocent and kick the trial down the road. Change plea at that stage when the heat has been dialled down.

Maury Levy over here.

looking back now, there was a point where I honestly thought it was spinning out of control. Those scenes at that hotel in rotherham,I think, were absolutely horrific and like something out of 1930s' germany or the deep south in america in the 20s .

Not always been a big fan of the police but they have handled this very well.

There’s a scouser round here who thinks because of where we moved here from, we should speak on friendly terms when we bump into each other. It’s a small town. He’s one of these cunts and for a couple of years I’ve argued with him over Trump, Farage, immigration blah blah. Now my argument is just ‘fuck off mate’.

Anyone else think in the cold light of day some of these sentences are a bit hash?

Fuck that, should have shot them all.

Send them to Bellmarsh let Abu Hamza give them some hook-shaped two tier justice right up the arse.

Nope. A guilty plea gets you a third off your sentence. A not guilty plea gets you remanded into custody until your trial, with typically 10% sentencing credit if you plead on the day of trial, or zero if convicted after trial. And Judges will apply the same sentencing they have so far.

Which ones in particular?

Considering they have been lobbing halfies at plod and absolutely terrorising innocent people, I think the cunts have got off lightly

Not all of them have been caught lobbying things at police. Some of the sentences for online crimes seem a little harsh. I'd have thought suspended sentences would have been an adequate punishment and deterrent. Same for the lower level disorders.

Gotta nip it in the bud. The online stuff was what caused it, the disinformation and the bile grew exponentially and it all went from snide comments to people trying to burn down hotels. We all watched it happen in real time.

If justice hadn't been this swift and hard it'd still be going on now, believe me.

These people aren't the type of folk you can reason with. They have no community leaders or political wing, they're the type of people who enjoy violence. If they weren't doing this they'd be lobbing things at a pensioner's window or battering someone outside a club when it's five on one.

They only understand simple actions and solutions. When a dog tries to nip you you give it a fucking good crack, when the able seaman refuses an order you give him 20 lashes.

What about if you encourage people to attack a hotel, they do so,and people die?

Suspended sentence?

If these 'lower level disorders' took place In isolation they might have done, but they took place during mass civil unrest.

They deserve everything they get.

A suspended sentence is fuck all. They should see the inside of a jail at the earliest opportunity so that they realise the best way to get Crocs and Sausage Rolls is to buy them. They would see a suspended sentence as getting off with it. I don't mean to get all Daily Mail about this but batter them.

Earlier on in the thread ,the disorder was getting compared to the riots from 10 years ago and the Toxteth riots, and whilst not condoning the level of violence,or the looting and destruction, they were, mostly directed against the police and government

These ones were directed against 1 group of people,in particular Muslims,we all saw it.

That's unprecedented in my memory, in this country.

Abso-fuckin-lutely not. The harsher the better for me. The consequences of what it could escalate to, don’t bear thinking about.

The ‘thick knuckle draggers’ won’t respond positively to suspended sentences, they’ll see that as a win, got away with it. Untouchable!

The Just stop oil protesters would also disagree that it was harsh. They got 5 years for making drivers late, the twats in Rotherham were setting buildings on fire with intent to do harm. Fuck em

I'd be in favour of making some of the 'lesser' offenders in this be made to do big (and i mean big) lumps of community service.

Loads of places that need graffiti removing - things repairing etc.

Get the cunts on that - after all they are so 'proud' of their country, they would surely see it as an honour to help make it better.
