That imam Adam Kelwick is a better man than me. He was saying today that he's spent part of the week talking to people who were at the "Save Our Children" demonstration at the Pier Head last week (i.e. gobshites who had chosen to believe that Muslims like Adam and all his regular mosque-goers are a threat to white Christian children), listening to their "legitimate concerns" and reaching some sort of understanding with them. That's all positive stuff, and unquestionably the right thing to do, but I'd be inclined to just tell them all to fuck off.

They've been radicalised by a constant drip-drip-drip from certain politicians, the Daily Mail and Express, the BBC's platforming of lunatics because they ensure an audience of supporters and haters and social media echo chambers. I think they honestly don't see themselves as far right or even racist for the most part. "Are we the baddies?"
