Beating these cunts to the title this season and the way we have done it should lay the ghosts of the game in 89 to rest.

I don't think I'll ever get over that game even if we win ten titles in a row!

Mind you, old Arsenal back then. I used to respect them a lot.

Aye, that one will haunt me to my grave.

The only thing better would've been beating them to win it in a few weeks. Still, first world problems.

The guard of honour will more than suffice.

Aye it’s still rough. Also not getting the double because of those yard dogs.

I was at a function last night and kept an eye on the score on the BBC website. The screen shows how many are watching at any one time, usually theres anywhere between 5 and 15k for the premier league. Last night from the 80th minute it must have averaged 220k.

Always remember mcmahons revenge tackle on jones season after .brutal!

Aye, I was at the Arsenal game, the final, and this game, too.

It was virtually from the kick off, Macca just absolutely cut him in two.

It was a horrible tackle and Jones was down for a while.  He was hobbling around for ages, and the Kop was giving him real grief about him being a "hard man".

He left the pitch but came back on after a while.

I learned a few years later that he had something like 12 stitches in his shin.  To be fair, we were all laughing at him for hobbling around and being a fake hard man.  I don't think there's many players who would come back onto the field with stitches in their shin.
