Other Football 2024/25

My Dad has never been to a World Cup and at 72 now, he’s not going to have opportunity to go to many more.

He thought the hospitality for the US next summer wouldn’t be too pricey (I did try to warn otherwise…) so we’ve been onto FIFA’s official sales office.

We’re going to travel west to east during the knock outs, hopefully taking in a last 16 game, a quarter final, a semi final and the final.

Annoyingly, we’d have to take an 8 game package, including 4 group games (which we’d look to resell) but the below is what they’ve quoted for the 8 game package, inclusive of the 4 knockout games I’ve mentioned…

….errrrrm, thanks but no thanks.

What is it with fullbacks not pressing the man who's crossing the ball these days.

Block the fucking cross, it's basics.

Probably some new data driven thing

Maybe it's a percentage thing.

Better the cross goes in and hopefully dealt with rather than blocked and out for a corner when the other team can then bring the big lads up and into the box.

Or maybe it's just shit defending

Boils my piss that mate. FIFA should be doing everything they can to minimise prices as people have to come from all over the globe. With travel, accommodation etc you just need cheap match tickets. $40k bangers for 8 games, who the fuck can afford that. The people's game eh ......

I get hospitality is more for big companies to impress clients etc, which obviously isn’t a Dad & son combination, still, $40k is ridiculous.

$15k just for the final itself…

We’ll try in the general sale, assume that won’t be long after the CWC ends.

Can't stand this Forest team, constantly pulling players back and the ref usually indulges these 'minnows'.

I'd also like to see regular piss tests on these.

Always said similar. If you have tbe reputation of a smaller club that's rough and physical and making life difficult for big clubs you get far off the refs. Get allowed to push and pull, leave you foot in. The second it comes the other way the screaming and diving starts

Absolutely. .

If football was this simple we'd just buy yard dogs but then the worldwide audience for PL games would collapse if our team contained the likes of Yates, Wood, etc just steaming around.  And we'd end each game with 9 or 10.

And on top of that, Forests owner is a complete fucking prick with a very questionable past, I don't put it past him at all to resort to some very shady shit.

Who the fuck thought giving Wayne Rooney a job as a pundit was a good idea...

Joey Barton fans will no doubt tell you that an incoherent potato is eminently qualified, by virtue of having a winkle and not a foo-foo.

Fucking Villa. Neanderthal, knuckle draggers. I hope they get beat in the semis, preferably by Bournemouth.

They’re such cringeworthy, unoriginal, boring cunts. Having copied most of their songs from us and others, they’re currently doing the Klopp post match fist pump routine. And that Yippee-ay-yay song, jeez, how naff is that.
