Never understood the whole ref wasn't ready for the free kick shit.  Dutch player gets fouled, immediately plays it to attacker on the edge of the box, one on one ish, ref whistles because he wasn't ready.

Same thing when the defence wants to set up a wall, why does the ref have to hold up play until everyone is set in their positions, team taking it should be able to take it when they are ready

Jesus they used to have great players. Now, they are like a poor championship side.

A poor Championship side a couple of years ago, maybe. Worse than that now, with no cause for any future optimism. Can’t think of a European country who wouldn’t beat them now.

Not sure if it's any consolation but a few years ago I was at a youth tournament my nephew was playing in. He was with West Ham - brother lives down south.

Anyhow, this Irish side batteted them all (West Ham, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Ajax and Inter). Looked them up and they are just a local club - can't remember their name. All mad little bastards but reminded me of Scouse street footballers - same cheeky little heads on them. They would be about u14 or u15 now.

Got talking to one of their coaches and he was saying it's so hard to keep them away from drugs and stealing cars, whereas bigger countries have academies that are full time and can shield them a bit. Said you become more a youth worker than a coach half the time.

Thought it really sad because they were a joy to watch, but hopefully one or two of them make it, but at least stay away from crime.

Kane getting kudos for scoring against Finland in a friendly is the most Harry Kane thing ever. Loves his low hanging fruit but awol tournaments when the shit hits the fan. Not fit to lace Shearer or Lineker's boots, fraud of a player.

Think that’s a bit harsh. Kane has done Ok at international tournaments as well, certainly better than Shearer or Rooney in that regard.

90 minutes for Trent, VVD, Gakpo, Gravenberch, Alisson, Kweev, Tsmiskas, Szoboszlai & Diaz last night.

Mac Allister only came on after 65 mins, so is obviously still carrying a knock.

Fucking state of all that.

Are these shitty, pointless, tedious, catastrophic, intolerable, nonsensically untimed, waste of everyone's time internationals over with yet? Or is there another round of classic friendlies like Luxembourg Armenia that needs to be played before we can get back to real football?
