With the ridiculous situation of five yellows not carrying over to the cups but reds doing so, what would happen if Gravenberch, having been booked, picked up a convenient late second yellow against Fulham? Would he have separate bans for the five yellows and the red?

Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that and if has to miss a game, it’s Leicester at Anfield.

I have no issues with cards belonging to the competition they were given in. I assume any yellows in the league cup work much the same way as they do in Europe?

I wouldn’t mind if it were consistent, but its slightly farcical that 5 yellows don’t carry over to other domestic competitions yet reds do.

I was hoping WHU would win tonight and Lopetegui would continue to stagger on until be bum-holed them in December.

They’ve been poor so far, I can’t see them getting anything v Bournemouth or Brighton. Hopefully they run themselves into the ground at Southampton on Boxing Day.
