That Brentford result just shows how shit the draw to Newcastle was.

Football doesn't work like that.

City, Arsenal & ourselves have all dropped points at Newcastle this season. The draw up there really wasn't all that bad.

Definitely 2pts dropped at Newcastle

Brentford beating them 4-2

That's a bit daft. The two aren't related. Brentford aren't coming off the back of a massively draining week, Newcastle aren't at home, Newcastle ran their socks off against us.

Making a point like that is daft.

It’s probably a good sign or our progress that we’re looking on it as a defeat.

I was unsure about posting it to be honest. As it's just the car I did. Hopefully it's bollocks as he's got to be in a bad way if true

The official announcement from west ham leads me to believe it is very serious and therefore sadly likely to be the car in the twitter images.

No - you have to win every single week now and anything less even away at sides with good home records is a disaster....

We shit the bed against a average side and blew 2pts. Newcastle are as close to Southampton as they are to us. It was a poor results in a game we should have won.

They don't have a great home record though. Before Weds they'd won 3, drew 1 and lost 2. And scored 5 goals at home all season.

Awful. Obviously we're all hoping for the best but when you see that state of that car it would be a miracle if he isn't seriously hurt, especially as he's a big lad.

Hate saying it but if that is the car in those images on twitter (hope it isn't) then i'd be surprised if the poor lad was not dead.

Fine. Fuck all to do with Brentford though.

And I don't think we shit the bed either. That's crybaby talk. We weren't at it and they overran us.

You can't win every game. There will be points dropped along the way, and that was an obvious one where it seemed more likely than not we'd drop points. Not because Newcastle are any great shakes, but because it's a difficult midweek fixture coming off the back of two hugely emotionally draining games.

Arsenal lost there. City drew. A draw there is fine under the circumstances.

I'd say it's more likely that the whatsapp message posted above from a fireman is probably spot on. His legs will have taken the brunt of that based on the photo.

Poor fella. Just got to hope for the best that it isn't as bad as it seems likely to be.

On the whole they are pretty decent at home - it is a tough place to go, especially at end of a week where have had Real Madrid and Abu Dhabi.

It is IMO ridiculous how there is this thing now where mostly any result bar a win is deemed unacceptable - it just isn't realisitic.

Even our great sides of the 70's and 80's drew a lot of games and lost a good few.

I get that abu dhabi have distorted things - but this isn't going to be one of those seasons where near perfection is required and that point after going behind twice and being up against it is a decent one.

That is the same image as saw on twatter and that someone posted on here earlier.

The Newcastle result is what it is - disappointing in context of us having taken a late lead, but not so bad in the bigger picture. The occasional draw away at a mid table club is a thing that will happen.

The main thing in the immediate future is ensuring we don’t slip up against Fulham or a very similar level of opponent to Newcastle in Tottenham.

We need @The Woolster to do his business with a points targets thread.

Abu Dhabi are already down to a maximum of 96. Which they could only get by winning all their remaining 23 games.

It is therefore IMO extremely unlikely they will even get to 90. They'd need 63 pts from 23 games to do that - 104 over a season form.

Arsenal and Chelsea can both get a maximum of 100 - one or possibly both won't as they have to play each other - So again I think neither will get to 90. To do do so they both need 62 pts from 24 games - 98 pts over a season form.

So to get to 90 (and i don't think title winners will need quite 90 but let's say 90 is safe) we need 55 pts from 24 games - an average of 2.29 per game - 87 pts over a season form.
