It'd prove how good he actually is.  Can't spunk £55M on a third choice left back with England.

I don’t think he’d need to. Maybe not 2006-ish, this is still a great group of English players.

Some of the attacking football would be incredible.

Such a shame it would be mostly appreciated by Neanderthals screaming “Get it t’big man in t’box, ya slaaaaaag” and singing about the RAF.

His football is complex to adapt to and I don't think he'd get enough time on the training pitch to make it work in international football. City only just scraped Champions League football in his first year there.

Also, his over-thinking on tactics for big games would definitely catch him out in a world cup.

Walker, Stones, Lewis, Grealish, Foden & Palmer are already aware of what he wants.

He tried to sign Bellingham, Rice & Kane, he obviously sees something significant in them.

I’d be genuinely surprised to see Deschamps, Nagelsmann, de la Fuente, Koeman or Scaloni out fox him.

If England are deadly serious about winning the next couple of international tournaments, there should throw everything at Guardiola.

That's a good point on the core of the players actually and I hadn't thought of it like that.

I do think when it really matters in the big cup games he often blows it. City should have had multiple Champions Leagues and often they get knocked out in games where he's tried to do something too clever.

Having said all that I don't see who England could get that would be better for them.

It'd be interesting to see how they play the Torres PR job they've been running with. Could re-open a few old wounds when he's talking about his love for Chelsea in the build up and turning out for them for a half.

The club would probably sell Torres half/half scarfs on match day.

The love in for that fucking rat is beyond.

Tuchel is the new England manager apparently

Just been sent that. Smart move by the FA and he’s probably the mancs best option so good news really. Couldn’t believe Solskjaer was as low as 15/8 at one point for the England job wtf
