Last season they finished 8th in the league and last in a CL group that contained FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray. If winning a domestic cup was enough to warrant a new contract then I don't see what's changed now.

Villa are a weird one. 

 

The league table doesn't lie, but any time I watch them, they look utterly useless. 

 

Even last season, I'd even go as far to say that they where the worst team to come to anfield.

I think he looks interesting. Tall and good first touch, but you have to use that a certain way and there's no way they'll get it right.

 

Same with Martinez. He's short but he has a lot of qualities and if they could actually defend as a team, reduce spaces and put someone besides him to cover his weaknesses, it would be ok. Instead, he looks like a clown.
