Talk the game could be called off due to events over America. Probably the right call really. Football is secondary at times such as this. Gareth Southgate has said Trump nearly leaving us has hit Jordan Pickford especially hard.

I’m hoping that’s a joke because it would be absolutely ridiculous. If someone had taken a shot at either country’s royals or government, I’d understand, not for The Donald though.

I think if England win with about 35% of the ball it would mean Pickford has been outstanding or Spain were as bad at shooting as the guy at the Trump hate rally. Anything above evens for Spain to win is a gift.

Anyway, Argentina v Columbia in the Copa America Final tonight as well. Mac Allister v Diaz.

 

What we thinking?

 

Difficult to see past Argentina, however, Columbia are the form side in South America at the moment. They are unbeaten in 20+ games and seem on a roll.

Having lived in a few places around the country now, I've lots of mates who are into England, so hopefully they win.

 

No real affinity to Spain, other than 10 days in Ibiza which was very enjoyable to be fair. If the ale/water prices in clubs was more reasonable, they could have had my support.

Can't say I'm an England fan, but also cant work up the energy to be negatively affected if they win. 

 

Also, part of me doesn't want a Spanish team to win yet another football final, it's ridiculous.

Reading Shaw is starting. Given how Yamal has played, I’d have said the  one game to have right footer at left back is tonight, not doubt Southgoat will have seen something nobody else will have / get incredibly lucky with the players at his disposal.
