The Labour government thread

I don't know how this is solved but I know that it won't be solved by allowing these clowns to carry on unchallenged. What winds me up is that every so often we hear something about a new left wing party forming, or that there's "discussions" on it happening. Then fuck all. What are they waiting for? Just get something moving or maybe we really are doomed to have fucking reform running the country.

there is defo a space there for a centre left party

Well this is embarrassing. We all called Tories and Osbourne massive cunts back in the day for doing austerity, and everyone who voted for them the same. And continue to do so.

Does that mean Reeves, Labour and Labour voters are the cunts now?

Good point. Welfare cuts, foreign aid cuts, increased military spending, crack down on immigration etc. If you didn’t know you’d think this was a Reform government.

Or, if you just gave it two seconds of thought, you’d know immediately how ridiculous it would be to think such a thing.

To be fair to the front bench, in relation to tax rises/benefits cuts they did run on a manifesto of "self imposed rules on borrowing and spending "(being cunts), so you could argue it is o e pledge they are sticking to.

Yep, but equally they could now say that the dire state of the finances left to them after the Tory disaster means they have to reconsider those made up rules.

They're not remotely left wing, they're centre right/centrist, would probably say they compare to Cameron's version of Conservatism.

That being said, that's still a world away from what the modern Conservatives have become. Flat Earthers and race-baiters.

Still, it's not a great choice is it. Shooting yourself in the face or the dick.

I agree 100%.

They've obviously taken the difficult decision not to.

The economic system is dying if not dead. Deckchairs on the titanic.

Was a story yesterday about the poorest in Slovenia being better off than the poorest in England.

The solution?

"Slash red tape"

"Do away with Whitehall mandarins"

"More growth."

It's bollocks. Economy has been on life support for decades, kept afloat with debt.

What absolute madness. A horrid organisation, a shadow of its former self, not fit for purpose, and beyond outdated. I’d go full vindictive Trump mode on then and gut the lot.

Early polling suggests that Labour will lose the upcoming Runcorn by-election (the one brought about by the punchy MP) to Reform, with a predicted 20% swing from Labour to Reform.
