VAR would have to have got involved- maybe Szoboslais jump in the build up to Salahs goal. Looked like he had drifted into someones personal space

I don't give a fuck about the players; as long as @Caramac is looking sharp in pre-season, everything is going to be fine.

Thought he fucked off after Klopp left. Glad to see him back supporting Slotball.

While we might concede some silly goals losing possession passing it around we looked alot more solid as a unit, especially in the second half. Arsenal had all the ball and mostly first team players for a large part of that and yet we still looked in a good shape and limited Arsenal to very few chances. Being able to keep possession and kill 20 mins of a game as required should be very useful. We looked at our very best in the title winning season and for as much as we blew some teams away we won alot of games in 2nd gear, score a goal and we just didn't give teams a look in and normally killed it off later on.

That goal is so aesthetically pleasing. I know pre season means fuck all and it’s not like he’s working with a group of donkeys but it’s impressive how quickly you can already see that he has imprinted his style on the team. It helps that it’s not a million miles removed from what Kloppo had us playing and it obviously helps that the players have been coached by the best most lovely man in the world for the best part of a decade. A bit of consistency and not being a cunt could see a smoother transition than we anticipated.

Does this suit Kelleher’s game a bit better than Alisson’s?

It doesn't suit Alison's game one incey wincey little bit. There'll be some calamatous howlers with the bearded Adonis if he's arsing about with the ball at his feet.

Price we pay though.

I went on holiday yesterday, I was on an internal US flight from Atlanta to Las Vegas (fuck you Virgin Atlantic)… anyway, amazingly the game was on the flight live.

Played some good stuff, IMO. 2 great goals, brilliant assists from Elliott. The 2 centre backs were very good. Still a ropey moments with Keheller &  the central midfield parting like the Red Sea, overall, given the amount of genuinely quality still to rejoin the squad, think we’ve got to be happy with the way things are going.

Arsenal are a set of little bitches, diving in a friendly. Ben White is an absolute cock.

The mancs v Betis was also on. I saw they were winning 3-1, they virtually had their first 11 playing. I was thinking I only didn’t see Garnacho, Martinez & Shaw. No wonder they are getting decent results when everyone else has half a squad.

Not seen ant of our games. Does it look like we'll play decent footy and not be boring or not?

Hard to tell with so many changes during the game

We look fine, less direct and more passing from what we have seen when the 1st team are on. The kids did well in the second half against Arsenal as we had very little of the ball and they kept a really good shape and didn't let them create much and they had a far stronger squad out for most of the half. Once they started bringing kids on we had the odd break. A good disciplined performance

That Salah goal reminds me of the sort of goals we used to score regularly from around 2018-2020 or so.

We seem to have scored a lot less like that in last couple of seasons or so.

I want to see the return of him cutting inside and curling it into the far corner just under the angle of post and bar. Haven’t seen one of them for a while.
