Looks like the Warrington/Wood rematch is being lined up for August in Manchester.

Strange it’s there when Wood is desperate for the city ground fight. If he loses it may never happen.

Presser this evening for the big 5v5 this weekend.

Ball Ford is definitely the 1 I'm most intrigued for on the card, Sheeraz Ammo is a 50/50 I can't call otherwise wins for Richards, Hrgovic, Zhang and of course Bivol.

Lots of rematches going on the last 12 months or are being lined up, Zhang Joyce - Eubank Smith - Heaney Pauls - Usyk Fury - Opetaia Breidis - CBS Riakporhe - Taylor Catterall, and now this.

Surprised how comfortably Warrington was winning the first 1 before the stoppage so this is 1 I can see being avenged.

Ball’s got a battle on after getting robbed in his last fight. Still think he’ll win, he’s a beast

He's the scouse Isaac Cruz that lad, love his little terrier like style. Needs to start a lot faster than he did against Vargas though, because he did lose most of the first 6 rounds if not all before putting it on him.

Best of mates these days them 2 aren't they?

Gimme Bellew Haye 3

Beak partners. I still don’t think Groves likes him because it’s the name that’s defined his career. Boss fights them two

https://www.boxingscene.com/zhilei-zhang-deontay-wilder-made-matchroom-captain-eddie-hearn-tried-kiss-his-ass--183915

At Thursday's final press conference ahead of his heavyweight clash with Deontay Wilder, China’s Zhilei Zhang did his best to stir discontent within Team Matchroom.

Zhang and Wilder meet Saturday as the lead fight in the “5 vs 5” show in Saudi Arabia featuring fighters from Matchroom and Queensberry Promotions, pitting promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren against one another.

Wilder-Zhang is the most eagerly anticipated and high-profile fight on the bill, and Wilder was made the captain of the Matchroom team, meaning he can earn double points for his side should he defeat Zhang.

“I think he made a mistake,” said “Big Bang” Zhang. “I think they chose him as a captain to kiss his ass in order to get a promotional contract.”

Zhang’s statement drew laughs, but Hearn promptly admitted he would like to work with Wilder, who is a free agent.

“I’d love to sign Deontay Wilder. I think he’s one of the best heavyweights in the world, one of the most exciting heavyweights in the world – but so is Zhilei Zhang,” said Hearn.

“I get to see [Wilder] explode on Saturday night. It’s an honor to represent Deontay Wilder, for one night only, and hopefully, as Zhilei Zhang said, the future does lead to a promotional contract. But all that matters is Saturday night, and I believe you’re going to see one of the most brutal knockouts you’ve seen in the heavyweight division and [Wilder] will announce himself and establish himself once more as the most dangerous man in the heavyweight division.”

Wilder was more outspoken, but Zhang had some fighting talk of his own.

“He’s a veteran, and he’s the ‘Bronze Bomber’ for a reason,” said Zhang. “But I think the Bomber is out of ammo, because he’s fighting ‘Big Bang’ now.”

My GGG nostalgia is kicking in:

Was really lucky and got the chance to watch Usyk x2, Inoue, Klitschko, Joshua X2, Prograis, Katie Taylor, Josh Taylor x5 box in person over the last few years, but I didn’t go to that GGG/Brook fight.

I thought he’d be coming back to fight Eubank and was saving my money for that.

Big mistake.

Inoue? Has he even fought outside of his native country, where on earth did you go and see him?

Yes.

Incredibly, in the WBSS he fought Manny Rodriguez on the undercard of Josh Taylor’s world title fight in Glasgow.

He eviscerated him in two rounds.

Nonito Donaire was there that night, too, and my mate got photos with him, while I was getting us drinks.

Livid is not the word.

Oh I see.

Well good on you man, sounds like you're lucky enough to get to a lot of big events so be grateful......I'm sure your time will come when the roles are reversed and no disrespect to Donaire but he's not 1 I'd be desperate to have my photo taken alongside, people who aren't hardcore boxing fans would probably mistaken him for being part of a piracy gang.

I love the guy.

Not only a gigantic one punch left hooker, but classy and fearless in terms of fighting everyone he should have.

I missed out on having a pint with him in Belfast. Went home when I didn't need to. He went to the pub we were after being in. I don't have Twitterso never knew about it.

I met Roy Jones Jr and Roger Mayweather on separate occasions in Vegas. I'm sure I've said that 100 times before on here!!.

Met a good lot of boxers over the years. Most are really sound. But Barry Jones is by far the soundest.

Yep. What a fighter. Dropping back down at his age and performing like he did vs Inoue was incredible.
