I'd have Agger over Matip. Suarez and Torres can rotate every few games, gives us a stronger bench with one of them there.

edit : Coutinho on the subs bench too.

Suarez would be the best player in the team.

The best number 6 we can get whoever the fuck that is. I know we may play a 4231 under Slot but with Mac Aliister and Trent playing there even both together working in tandem we may aswell use the misty spray from opening a cold can of 7up to protect our centrebacks and space infront of them.

Currently we would put the electrician on plumbing and the plumber rewiring and wonder why things don't work as well as they should. This is the most important window in a long time.

I would have Matip over Agger. Him and Virgil have been majestic together for a number of years. If Jota was fit for the last few games, I'm convinced we would be top of the league right now. If Matip was also fit, I'm certain of it. Both are top class players and I think his injury record will stop Matip being regarded as a true great here. Him and Virgil were the closest we got to Hansen and Lawrenson, which is a ringing endorsement of them.

If there was a deal to be made (reduced wages or pay as you play), I would keep him. He's still a really good defender and there aren't too many of them around. We need senior pros around the place.

You might both be right, Agger and Torres are two of my fave players that's all. And they'd still be great at defending and scoring at their best even if they weren't quite as good as the other two. Torres would surely be even better than he was for us too with the service he'd get from that team.

I did say they could rotate. I still remember how insanely good Suarez was and know it'd be mental not to have him in the team at all, if not I'd have just mentioned Agger!

It still irritates me that Torres left and we never got to see them play together.

Agger was very good to be fair. Imagine him with Virgil. I just have a big soft spot for Big Bird.

Torres was undoubtedly one of the three or four best players in the world for a period. Incredible player. I actually think there was a period where Suarez was the best player in the world over peak Messi and peak Ronaldo. I'm not saying he was better than either, but around 2014 with us, I'm convinced there was not a better player in world football and then he was majestic at Barcelona.

I'd have Suarez over anyone in World football. Absolutely loved that menacing, snide, horrible bastard.

I think Suarez is our best ever player. He obviously didn't have as good or long a career as a lot of our greats, but for pure quality he's at least right up there. Every now & then I'll watch a complication of his goals it's almost unbelievable how good he was.

How does everyone see the GK department going in to next season, with Adrian and Kellerher likely to be going that leaves us with Alisson, Jaros, Pitaluga and Davies as the most experienced 'keepers on the books.

Do we look for an experienced No.2 that one of the young keepers can look to fight with for the No.2 position and eventually replace in the same way we did with Adrian/Kelleher?

Do we look to commit a decent chunk on a early 20's keeper capable of coming in straight away and playing in cup games or when Alisson is inevitably injured again.

Gulacsi would have been a good option for an experienced keeper but his recent revival at Leipzig has made that more difficult even though he only has a year left on his deal.

We've been linked with the likes of Trafford and Patterson on the more established back up front but whether either have the ability to reach Kelleher's level remain to be seen.

At least one of those keepers being home grown would help as well.
