Barca still in for Chiesa. Wouldn't put it past the player or his agent to push the LFC interest publicly to get the Barca deal over the line.

Meaning: Anything can still happen either way and its not done until pen on paper.

Let’s face it, the majority of players would pick Barca or Real Madrid over us. It’s just how it is.

Barca managed to register Olmo today, so they might have scope to register more players before Friday.

Oh, direct contact. That's good. Had feared we were conducting our transfer business via carrier pigeon.

I've haven't been keeping much of an eye on Barca, only the fact they can't register Olmo. That says they aren't in a position to push anything, they need to clear out some bodies first, maybe they should email Richard Hughes.

This thread is like some desperate bar with sixty men to one woman.  Who happens to be lesbian.  Some are living forlorn hope, others are bitter and spewing anger in all directions.

Don't do it to yourselves lads.  Go and get some fresh air.

Love these soft cunts and their self importance.

'Waking up to messages that say this' equals just woke up, opened Twitter, seen some ropey transfer rumour from another no-mark account and decided to pass it off as mine.

Do you know how much money it would cost to buy, feed and train a pigeon?

Just doesn't make commercial sense.

All our direct rivals continue to strengthen right up to the end of deadline day yet we sit and do nothing. This is nothing but a dereliction of duty by our owners. Once we hit a few injuries, we'll struggle big time as the squad is sorely lacking any depth. In fact, the idiots in charge are weakening us by moving on players who were a big help when we started getting our usual bout of injuries last season. This current squad will do extremely well to finish in the top 6.

The only consolation I find in it all is I'm not too convinced by those behind us. I posted the other day, villa are going to find it hard this season coming into the CL. I see nothing to worry about at spurs. Chelsea is a genuine who knows, they might be fucking mental, but who knows what'll happen once the window is shut and footballing people can settle things down for a while. Newcastle look shite, their defence is woeful. And we can talk about the red mancs after Sunday. I would be amazed though if we narrowed the gap on those who finished ahead of us last season. I do wonder if the lack of real challengers behind is playing part of our recruitment thinking. We'd need to spend too much to overtake city and there's enough of a buffer to suggest we can get through.

I'm worried though by November we'll have half a team of U18s.

Being a red in the transfer window reminds me of one time as a kid on a day out in southport, when my mum's psycho fella took me to the ice cream van, bought two cornets, then ate them both.

It reminds me of the time, at 16, I went to the Sixth Form party at the shitty Park Lane night club in Shrewsbury. There was a girl I was absolutely emphatuated with – mainly because I was from the villages and she was from town. We'd only seen farmers daughters and other such creatures at secondary school and she was like another category entirely and way out of my league.

Anyway her and her mates showed up as Britney Spears in the school uniform. It was right as Baby One More Time was top of the charts.

I was on the podium dancing about like an arse and she walked up and offered me her hand to help her up. She leaned in real close and put her hands on my hips and said: "When Britney comes on will you get down so me and my mates can dance up there."
