They bought a 19 year old Argentine yesterday as well.

Hell be staying there for a season on loan, but he’s on a six year deal.

Madness, all of it.

They have a 45 man squad by my rough maths.

They've got 18 year olds Estêvão and Kendry Páez to join next summer too for a combined fee of around £50 million.

It's absolute lunacy.

Amortisation costs blocked beyond 5.

I really don't understand how so many of these players are choosing chelsea on these long contracts, they must be getting some guarantees on incremental pay rises every few seasons atleast or why would you lock yourself in to terms for so long.

The agents must all be getting some serious off the books cuts to get their players to sign these as well as they really only make money when their clients move on.

I can see why players like Neto and Nkunku do it, security of the long contract (especially with their injuries) and they walk into the side when fit, the only downside is whether they can push through all the chaos surrounding the club and make it successful.

It's the younger players I don't understand, the ones that will be fighting 6 other players for game time, or might never play for the club in the 8 years they are there who aren't getting the big big money (still getting good money) but are getting the long contracts.

If you're Mike Penders watching Chelsea sign 4 keepers what goes through your head when you think yeah I should sign for Chelsea, same with players like Guiu or Omorodion.

Either they're incredibly bad decision makers or they have terrible representation.

Bajectic told he can go out on loan next year. Surprised a bit, we have alot of games but I guess we also have alot of players for them spot. Kid needs games so makes sone sense, hopefully a year of games and he'll be ready

I suspect if it wasn’t for his terrible injury record we’d have signed Neto a couple of seasons ago. Him and Wolves have done exceptionally well to make so much money when you just know how his career will pan out. It’s a big risk we could and should never make but Chelsea being the basket case they are seem to thrive on shit like this. I reckon Chelsea will be ran in to the ground before Neto sees 100 appearances.

As long as he isn't over played somewhere, this will hopefully be great for him. He's lost 18 months, he can't lose another 12 sat on our bench. But we're not some charity to give lads a chance at football. We've got matches to win, so I think it's a solid idea to see if we can find him a good club that'll give him the minutes he needs.

I would say though, even if zubi does come in, if bajcetic goes, endo needs to stay.

Surely depends on Trent.

If we are playing a 2 man midfield and a more advanced one like we seem to have in preseason then Mac Callister, Zubimemdi,Gravenberch,Jones with possibility of Szoboszlai,Trent would be enough.

Though I'd like Endo to stay as a good option for killing games off and domestic cups etc

I don't see gravenberch playing that role. Although I don't see him playing the advanced one either. Jones I'm not sure about, I think it's possible he would be better in the more advanced role. I'm just thinking overall numbers. We'll use 5 mids every single game pretty much (with subs) and Jones is missing half the time. And you would expect one of the other 5 to be injured at any given point. So 7 seems a number for me to cover 3 starter, 2 subs positions. You're right, there's a question mark on Trent. Personally I think zubimendi answers that question and Trent will be right back.

So that’s six first team keepers they have on their books now?

Bohely is a fucking genius.

As I said yesterday the club is a circus.

Don’t forget Eghbali in all this though, he’s just as much to blame as Boehly.

Offer him to Sociedad for the year as a sweetener.

Did the new loan restrictions get passed a few years back, they're going to struggle to turn 45 players into a manageable squad with only 6 loans allowed (although they have a fair few under 21 who would be exempt from the limit)

Yes they did. It came in from this season.

Find it funny that Barca tried to buy Nico Williams, realised he wasn't arsed about joining, so signed a worse player for a completely different position instead.

They were always wanting both not one or the other.
