See my some chatter on Castello Lukeba.

One from unreliable self promoting source, the other from a non-promoting source who seems somewhat reliable but who knows.

21 year old, left footed French centre back who plays from our favourite feeder club, Leipzig. Allegedly has a £60m release clause.

Here he is in comparison to Konate & Quansah. He’d need to improve those heading stats…

Leipzig? No thanks. He'll turn up with one leg.

It’s almost like we just missed out on a centre back…

…despite the sarcastic comment above, VDB turning into a quality first team player is obviously the preferred solution.

They shout down any criticism of them by asking how many trophies the Mancs, Arsenal or Chelsea have won whilst spending more than us.

Don't disagree with most of what you wrote H and I'm not FSG's biggest fan but that looks like a pretty good endorsement to me.

Apparently a couple of youngsters are Salzburg have caught our eye - Lucas Gourna-Doauth & Hendry Blank.

Be interesting to see how they develop

under Lijnders & if we’re interested in the future.

He'd also need to stop being a cunt to be any use to us....

So Van Den Berg is this summers saves Liverpool millions effort is he

Sir yes sir!

Captain he's gonna surprise a lot of fans is our Sepp. If he can showcase his quality on the ball and playing out the back, which he didn't really get the chance to do at Mainz, then he's got every chance morphing into an all time great. Over & out.

I'd be ok with not bringing a defender in and having VVD, Quansah, Konate, Gomez  and Van den Berg as options just as long as we strengthen elsewhere.

If we sign a top holding midfielder and Antony Gordon or another similar attacker that's fine.

I don't expect us to compete for the title in Slots first season but we should be aiming for third at the very least.

Fuck Gordon. Sign Kimmich and we could be ok

I think I’d settle just for a world class defensive midfielder, like Fabinho in his prime.

Who that is, as we’ve all more or less said, we / I have no idea.

FSG loaned the club £110m and charged the club interest. They did this out of the goodness of their heart because a greedy bank would have charged a higher rate of interest so FSG stepped in and lent the club money but still banked money from interest. Up until now the club has repaid them £40m from annual revenue.

FSG took out a loan of £80m for the ARE which the club will have as debt and will have to repay.

The training ground was also funded by the sponsorship deal with AXA.

Several LFC journos stated last year that since FSG bought Liverpool in 2010 they have invested around £130m of their own money. So just over £9m of their own money each year since buying us. They bought us for £300m and the club is worth over £4bn depending on what reports you read.

We were told last year that the increase in revenue from a 61k stadium will have the club "firing on all cylinders" yet they are already laying the groundwork for a quiet summer. We had the same when the Main Stand was built in 2016 saying it would make a difference to the transfer budget.

Next season the kit deal could be close to £100m with Adidas, there'll be more revenue from an expanded CL and more money from the PL TV revenue in addition to the new sponsorsship deals theyve just signed, apparentlythey made around £12m from the summer concerts too. Yet next summer you'll still see the same articles and the same over cautious approach to buying players or endless links to a player who wants to either stay put at their current club or move elsewhere.

They may be great businessmen who don't risk their own money and can grow an asset but that won't help us consistently win trophies and compete with similar sized clubs.

Guess we will see what FSG are about this season more than any other.

An asset that has increased so vastly on purchase price losing an icon Manager and big name players hinting at exits- end of an era etc. Rivas all strengthening- surely the smart move would be to realise you’ve rode this wave and sell up?
